Leman, correct me if I'm wrong.. I was under the impression that teams would have to turn in 8th-11 grade numbers. I've heard different from other coaches. Just trying to figure out how this system works with enrollment.

Everyone has to count 9-12 and turn that in.

The change is now they MUST submit 9-12 and if their enrollment is over 104.9 they can use one of these alternatives to participate in 1A football (6man) if it brings them under the cut off:, Grades 8-11, Grades 7-10, Grades 9-10 doubled

However, those schools whose 9-12 is over will still be in class 2A in all other activities…and this is the major change as it was they were able to stay in 1A in everything before.

No problem LBK. I just went and pulled up the actual schools that are in football districts this year. I too, wish some of the non football schools with numbers under 105 would play six-man. It would really change the landscape of the districts. We have several schools that are relatively close to Saint Jo that choose not to play football at all. These were their numbers last realignment. Most would be D2 but I would still like to see them add football. The schools listed below are in our basketball district. I am sure Slidell would join us in our football district, not certain on Graford.

D2 - Bellevue - 43 - 36 min drive
D2 - Henrietta Midway - 46 - 52 min drive
D2 - Nocona Prairie Valley - 49 - 23 min drive

D1 - Slidell - 60 - 35 min drive
D1 - Graford - 86 - 85 min drive
