Are the 2013 pre-season rankings really for 2014?

So how are the rankings computed? Is there a scientific method to it, or is it a bunch of numbers pulled out of a hat?

Guru and a few others have a very complicated ranking system. I usually go with My Team is Number 1, everybody else is scattered about the nether rankings..................

Rankings are really just for fun, 1 or 2 turned ankles can completely destroy a team. 6 man for sure.

I know, complaints on every hand. I was a little surprised you and Leman both ranked Richland Springs #1 ahead of Calvert who beat them in the playoffs last year. I also know the local fans of RS have been lobbying hard for that #1 spot. I will even grant the fact that RS only graduated one off of last years team. However, that one just happened to be the fastest guy in sixman football. How do you replace that speed at defensive end? The answer is you don't!
