How is Spur ranked 8 spots behind Ira when they are 5-0 & beat Ira in Ira on their Homecoming. Just curious
So this is just one of those where it's obvious that The Toy doesn't know who has played who. It just looks at team's rating, per week, and adjusts based on scores. Spur moved ahead of Ira in the rankings when they beat them. Ira actually dropped 41 points that week (fairly significant drop) and Spur gained 39 points (again, pretty significant gain). Spur has gained rating points every week this season, but they haven't gained a lot because they were already picked to win. Ira had a nice gain when they beat Robert Lee, because they were picked to lose that game. Then they had another decent gain when they 45'd O'Donnell, a team they were only supposed to beat by 3. So, yeah, Ira has just had nice gains on some "unexpected" wins. Unexpected as in from The Toy's prediction.
Had that number of games gone up every year?
You mean the number of mixed games? If so, I'm really not sure. I'm not sure if that is something that's ever been tracked before the last few years. Also, I don't specifically track mixed games. I only track UIL and non-UIL games. I just did some math this morning to come up with what'd be considered mixed games.
