Lometa is in with Jonesboro and May, they've been ranked in the 20s most of the season. I think they just fell to 31 after losing to both of their district rivals.

I can't figure the toy out. Surely there must be some wires crossed 
Water Valley 45ed Rankin a few weeks back, now Rankin jumps 4 spots after beating Midland Trinity and is now ranked higher than Water Valley.

Hermleigh taking a huge tumble in the final weeks has hurt WV in the ratings being Hermleigh beat them early in year. Had to do some digging to find that myself. The good thing is that was week 2 and WV was still kicking out some 11 man habits best I can tell. Everything is going to be all right. Ranking mean nothing once the playoffs start. But on a serious note, Midland Trinity is a high ranked team and Rankin 45'd them. The Toy doesn't know that Water Valley beat Rankin so Rankin should be ranked lower. It just calculates what a team's current rating is, and what their scores were.

Speaking of Hermleigh. Wins against some quality teams like WV and Sands who both seem to be pretty darn good. Then they play Jayton probably as closely as any team could other than Gordon. For 6 weeks they sit ranked at #11 or #12 and then week 9 they climb into top 10. Evidently that was their ending. Unexpectedly lost a close one to Ira the next week and fought a hard respectable battle to finish season against Westbrook. Can’t help but wonder if they got bit by the injury bug late. Regardless they had a great season so congratulations to Hermleigh.

I thought Hermleigh was under ranked all year. I was shocked about the Ira score as well. Doing well Simply Put. You need to come watch a game soon.

Ira hadn’t been healthy all year until district, had some losses early that weren’t indicative to who they are. Hermleigh is GOOD, Ira just was just better that night. Watched the film of that game, it was a barn burner. That Ira squad is HUNGRY.

A lot of people on the bracket challenge thread are picking Westbrook to win state. Are they underrated this year?

I’ll say this, a lot of us that are picking that are from Westbrook. That being said this team is very good in my opinion, week 1 against Jayton was rough due to having to replace a bunch of kids including the quarterback that had been in place for three years who was also a terrific linebacker as well as others including 3 all state linemen. That’s a tough test against anyone especially against a team like Jayton. If you watch that game we were moving the ball against their D just put the ball on the ground way too many times against a team of that caliber. 8 turnovers I believe maybe 7 but however you look at it you can’t not do that against a team like Jayton. We just played super flat against BV for whatever reason who knows. And again 4 turnovers can not happen against a team like those two teams. We are partial to our boys as anyone behind a really good team should be but I truly believe these wildcats can make some noise. I go back to look at how teams bounce back and after week one with so many young kids playing substantial time on varsity for the first Time I thought the dug deep and put it on a very good Jonesboro team. Again that’s my opinion and it means nothing.
