Newcastle vs. Guthrie moved to 2:00pm Saturday

Postponed might be a better word ... hearing that Saturday forecasts are reducing rain chances but still cold, although I still see freezing rain in the forecasts for some places on Saturday (such as Petersburg and Slaton). I could very possibly see some of those games delayed to Sunday or even Monday if weather conditions warrant.

Of course, the greater safety issue today is TRAVEL ... having grown up in snow, cold and ice ... you can drive in cold and to some extent you can drive in snow, but you cannot drive in ice because you have NO traction ... and most school buses are not built to be high performance vehicles in such conditions.

The Coaches are mighty smart to postpone the games until Sat- on. It has be steadily raining here for about 3 hours. We don't want the kiddo's sick.
