A friend told me once that once I turned 40, I would quit caring what other people thought. The older I got, the less I cared. While this has absolutely proven to be true, I have also found that the older I get, the less I actually like other people.

Actually,
I would like to not care
what certain kind of folks think.
But, in my career
I find myself at their mercy
and
constantly defending myself against
their idiotic accusations.
I love the kids and absolutely expect them to behave like children.
Fine.
I also understand that most parents are just mommies wanting to spoil their children.
Hmmm...it's their monster.
It's the so-called experienced professionals
that hold the future of our young generation
in their hands
who are actually
more concerned about making it to retirement without upsetting any of these little monsters or their mommies.
I see no difference between the teacher dating a kid
or the Supe/Prin/Teacher riding the clock till retirement.
They're both wrong on so many levels.

I tried to read it. It kind of bounces around a bit. I admit i skipped a few pages. There were several writers who were very good. Others...well they tried. How many times do we hav to write in it to not be considered new?.

I was visiting my east Texas relatives down at Adamsville a while back. I got to talking to an old man down there. He said he was a newcomer, he had moved down there 40 years ago.

When I moved to Gordon 24 years ago, my junior year in high school, I was told this......
