If High Island and Fannindel requested to play up, Karnack will be driving a long way to play district games. I guess Karnack would get Oakwood and Trinidad, then probably throw in Calvert.

Fannindel could be added to Campbell, Tioga, and Savoy, then add Bloomburg. Saint Jo could go with Crowell, Knox City, Bryson, and Newcastle.
High Island would get Levertts Chapel, Apple Springs, and Chester.

I don't think Irving Universal Academy can play in 1A. There are more than 3 high schools in Irving and the smallest, I believe plays 5A, so by the new UIL rule, Universal Academy would have to play 5A.

Div. 2 District 6 with all the Big Bend schools were in a six team district last year. Buena Vista would be the closets, but they are just a few miles from Royalty. I don't see that getting split up.

I see Happy going North. There are only two schools that are north of them, White Deer and Miami. Happy will have to go with them. I don't see Crowell getting put with White Deer and Miami, which would be the only way Happy would not go north.

Holloway, I didn't know that. The UIL must have just changed that a couple of years ago. The 2010 and 2011 alignments had 15 districts in six-man div. 2.

Still 16 districts, one is a bye district......

I wasn't aware that there were only two D-I schools north of Happy. That would put Valley in no mans land, then. They played in the North before the last realignment. Follett is a long drive for a district game.

Follett is a long drive for anything.................................

I don't see it happening. You can thank Triple A for this.

16. Charter Schools.
a. Charter schools will be assigned to districts in team sports only prior to even-numbered years.
b. Charter schools may be reassigned to a higher conference if actual enrollment is larger than enrollment
projections.
c. Charter schools shall not be assigned to a football district unless they have provided evidence to the UIL
staff that they have participated previously.
d. Unless its enrollment qualifies it for a higher conference, a charter school shall have its classification
determined by placing it in the conference of the lowest enrolled school from the ISD in which the charter
school is physically located.
1. This rule is applicable to charter schools located within an ISD consisting of three (3) or more high
schools.

2. Any charter school that is elevated in conference under this rule will receive an automatic appeal to
UIL staff regarding their conference assignment. Additionally, any charter school who chooses may
appeal the decision of UIL staff to the District Assignment Appeals Committee.

This is just my thoughts but UIL should send Crowell, Aspermont, Knox City to the East.

In Div II District 9, You have Jayton, Paint Creek, Lueders Avoca, Rule in the East.

I believe the with the additions to Div. I schools coming into 6man, Crowell, Aspermont, Knox City in the East would really make the state game more competitive for the next 2 years.
