Their whole goal is to destroy the insurance companies and have the government take it over. That includes medical, life, car, etc. The whole enchilada.

If I knew that for sure I wouldn't be worrying right now. I know we need the insurance but dang it I think it's O's control over us. And your right Doc what comes next? He scares me to death. It's enough to live now. If he cares so much and wants us to have insurance, it should be more affordable.
Absolutely. It's all about power.freeagent":34p7c3z7 said:MelaniB":34p7c3z7 said:Your right Little Doc we are the piss ants. I'm so overwhelmed in what to do. Problem is that the fines, taxes, tribute to Dear Leader, whatever you call it, are pretty affordable at first ... maybe $100 or 1% of AGI. But the problem is that those fines, fees, bribes, whatever are scheduled BY LAW to increase ... and who says they won't get raised if fewer of the huddled masses with income/assets aren't buying the product?
Having spent many years in medical sales and having family members involved in patient care, I'm seeing the mess that this is forcing on individual providers ... like your community hospital or stand-alone doctor. Those folks are hiring more people to deal with the electronic-paper-pushing tasks and fewer actually in patient care. And when your doctor finds that his/her reimbursements are down (maybe as much as 30%) but his cost of compliance -- and hiring people to do the compliance work increases -- fewer and fewer of them are going to be independent practioners. Those doctors are either going to retire or sell out to large medical groups/hospitals so they can at least earn a decent living based on their education and the hours they spend.
This isn't about getting people insured. It's about getting government power.
Ask yourself 2 questions; is it from the government? Does it make sense? .............PopRay":3s78iijm said:It will make medicare look puny.....debt wise....unless more and more fees are imposed and rates are raised...
Why was it passed...without reading it in the first place...without debating what was in it....
