Insurance

Their whole goal is to destroy the insurance companies and have the government take it over. That includes medical, life, car, etc. The whole enchilada.

Your right Little Doc we are the piss ants. I'm so overwhelmed in what to do. A lot of the guys we know say it's cheaper to pay the fines. If I knew that for sure I wouldn't be worrying right now. I know we need the insurance but dang it I think it's O's control over us. And your right Doc what comes next? He scares me to death. It's enough to live now. If he cares so much and wants us to have insurance, it should be more affordable.

Problem is that the fines, taxes, tribute to Dear Leader, whatever you call it, are pretty affordable at first ... maybe $100 or 1% of AGI. But the problem is that those fines, fees, bribes, whatever are scheduled BY LAW to increase ... and who says they won't get raised if fewer of the huddled masses with income/assets aren't buying the product?

Having spent many years in medical sales and having family members involved in patient care, I'm seeing the mess that this is forcing on individual providers ... like your community hospital or stand-alone doctor. Those folks are hiring more people to deal with the electronic-paper-pushing tasks and fewer actually in patient care. And when your doctor finds that his/her reimbursements are down (maybe as much as 30%) but his cost of compliance -- and hiring people to do the compliance work increases -- fewer and fewer of them are going to be independent practioners. Those doctors are either going to retire or sell out to large medical groups/hospitals so they can at least earn a decent living based on their education and the hours they spend.

This isn't about getting people insured. It's about getting government power.

Absolutely. It's all about power.

It will make medicare look puny.....debt wise....unless more and more fees are imposed and rates are raised...

Why was it passed...without reading it in the first place...without debating what was in it....

Ask yourself 2 questions; is it from the government? Does it make sense? .............

All of you are so right. This insurance thing isn't because he cares so much about our health. Its all about him controlling us. Then what in the heck is the next thing. My husband and I truly don't mind helping people in need. The ones on disability, food stamps and so forth but dang it instead of putting demands on us they ought to check out the ones that are stealing from the government. My husband was on unemployment one time in his life. He had to wait 3 weeks without any help and was on them for 2 weeks and found a job. He's 58 years old and he knows some people that's been on it for over a year. Those people need to be checked out. I believe in helping people and now we are being forced to get this insurance and the person I talked to this morning said their insurance was connected to Big O's. This was Blue Cross and Blue Shield. I'm going to give Aflac a call but I bet O has had his hands on them to. My husband says it will be cheaper to pay the fines then I told him what about our drivers licence. I guess I'm trying to find the best fit for us and him talking like that has overwhelmed the heck out of me.

What gets me the most is his lies. I wish Congress would impeach him so he couldn't put anymore on us, but they won't because they're doing just fine.

Pop in his pea brain, no one is supposed to question him. We are to do what he thinks he wants us to do and God forgive me but I see him converting America into a Muslim Country. I'm sorry but I'm tired of his lies and the next step he has in mind.

Doctors are going to be bailing out left and right. Just lost my urologist because of all this crap. Now I've got to find another urologist that I'm comfortable with and just pray that he has smaller hands. And that ain't funny! All this Obama care garbage makes me mad. Now I've got to start worrying about Hillary getting elected. Can't be much worse than it already is. Or, can it!

Oh Pop don't bring up Hillary. I'm more afraid of her that the big O. Yes your right about Docs bailing out. I hear it from my Pain Management Doc all the time now. I give him the meanest look I can pull up and tell him he better stay the same way he is right now. I would think he would smile but he doesn't. I have two stimulators in my body and if he gets rid of me I don't know where I would go. The stimulators have to be reset all the time.

Take two aspirin...pay your double premium...and take what doctor I tell you...you can see...Oh hope you're enjoying your new healthcare plan....

As for being an insurance agent and having managed medical practice in the past both in large multi doctor practice and small rural hospital,,,, and also being self employed I find myself in an unique position. first get politics out of both, second run tem like a business.. we have the best medical facilities and medicine in the world that is managed like a third world country.. all that medicine and politics need is to be managed just like a business has to be to be profitable and to stay in business

come on this isn't rocket science but if the people don't band together and say that this is enough we will become the socialist country we are headed for and it is who's fault????? took in the mirror that's who we have to make a stand for what is right not what is easy!!! this country didn't get broke over night and it wont be fixed over night and there will be hell to pay for all of us till we yes WE THE PEOPLE take responsibility not only on election day but every single day... we talk about boot straps and pulling on them but are we ready to pull on them till they hurt and past..... are you ready to be in the Alamo or do you want the easy way????? I challenge you to make a difference..

kbjoe your right. I have done everything I can possibly do to help put a stop to this craziness. My daddy told me if you don't vote or speak out then don't complain. That taught me a lot..I'm going to bite the bullet but I'm not going to be happy about it. I know the Lord will tell which way to go but I hope the Lord doesn't want me to go the Big O's way. He is such a liar and people can tell me anything if it's the truth.

I thank and appreciate everyone of you for your help. I knew you would have the right answers and thanks for listening to my rant. I'm sorry I wasn't too nice today but I had to speak my mind.

LOL you sound just like my husband. (quote) I ain't paying it, let them fine me it's cheaper, they can kiss my you know what and so forth. But I know we have to do whats by law or we get in trouble. I am the rhyme of reason around this house and that's not saying very much.
