How is BC ranked above Calvert ?

One is in Div. 1, the other is Div. 2
Calvert is a different division and the way the rankings are done take more data than just who won into consideration. It is a long algorithm that works it out. It is the point value that you have to look at. Calvert, while they won against BC, who has 346.58 points, Calvert has 338.39. It took me a while to get used to but that has more to do with the fact that our team is always lower than what I think they should be and no one talks about them in a serious way when I know every athletes that has gone through our program in the last 6 or 7 years including the current ranks, and they are some D*** good athletes. How many points you give up and how many the team you beat has allowed along with average points scored.Basically, the actual spread and lots of things factor into their calculations.

Not only are all of the following games taken into consideration, (using "THE TOY'S" algorithm)
but all of the opponent's games they have played.
Then the opponent's opponents.
And it keeps going and going.
Looks like a good ranking to me.

Wow!! You just don't get it....The data and computer information is much more relevant to which team is the best. What happens on the field is secondary to Polls and Computer rankings. Why we even play the games is such a mystery to me when we already know who is the best from looking at rankings. LOL

You've heard of it?............imagine that.........
agree this is an anomaly, but the two teams are ranked directly next to each other, it is not like Calvert is 10 slots behind. BC seems to have received an extraordinarily high jump after what happened last week. As you can see, Calvert benefited from it as well. It appears the narrow WLO is having a too much pull on Calvert.
PS - it took every ounce of energy this Friday morning to not blast the snark.
