Mineral Wells/Weatherford over-the-air (real) radio stations (88.5, 99.1) also carrying Gordon game as they did last week. Not sure yet about Strawn.

The difference is with the Mineral Wells broadcast, versus the Microplex broadcasts for the Strawn and Gordon games, the Microplex crews covering the games actually WENT to Gordon or Strawn and know the game and the kids playing. Mineral Wells hosts rarely even know whats going on, players, rules, etc. It can be frustrating to listen to.

Plus the Microplex crews have been at each and every game the last couple years, and know about other schools outside of Palo Pinto County. Mineral Wells radio only shows up deep in the playoffs, well after the Rams and every other 11 man team in the area are playing basketball.

Older people don't have or use Internet. Be thankful your Grandma can listen on a real radio station. But also kudos to Microplex for providing a useful service.

With radio stations providing this service more people are able to listen to the game. I agree with tcu2013. My grandma would have no idea how to get on the internet and listen to game, but she sure knows how to turn the dial on the radio.

I would ask that you support the locals that do it every week. I'm not taking anything away from the radio stations,and I appreciate them doing it when they do, but microplexnews is there and has been everygame. They do it for the communities. They certainly do not get rich from it.

Maybe they could coordinate with Mircoplexnews and somehow come up with letting the hometown broadcasters do both. Never going to happen but...
