Field Goals, Returned Field Goals, Extra Points and Such

I was wondering...a few things here:

1. Longest Field Goal kicked in a Six-Man Game???

2. Has anyone every returned a short missed Field Goal attempt back for a TD???

3. Back when blocked Extra Points were live...what would be the longest INT on an extra point returned, Fumble returned and Longest block kick returned????

Anyone remember seeing any of these ODD plays???? I know they have had to have happened before!!!

...so looks like private schools kick field goals more...

Can some more public schools post....

Heck, we've played for 10 years. It's been at least five since we kicked a field goal; I think we've only made one in all those years. Can only think of a few that have been kicked or tried against us, either.

If I remember right, there was some kicker from Dallas Lakehill (when they played 6 man) that got a scholarship as a kicker to Abilene Christian.

caleb wrinkle (rankin) one step kicked a 42 yard against ira in the playoffs this year just prior to the end of the first half the game was in the balance at the time.

I think we saw good kicking in the Championship games this year. Looking at the 2 winners out of those games, I would imagine they don't have many opportunities or need to attempt a field goal. I think that either of the kickers in those games proved more than capable of making kicks of at least 30 yds.................

Per "The Huntress Report" from 9-29-1995/week 4 issue...

Strawn's Shannon Hopkins had already kicked 3 FGs on the season of 34, 28, and 26 yards

I'll just say this - I had the opportunity to witness the Richland Springs - Milford game in Hico. I saw the RS kicker on a PAT hit the powerline beyond the stadium wall on the north end of the field. Not the pole, mind you, but the wire. It wasn't a "rainmaker" kick either. Kid could have made it from 50 pretty easily. If he doesn't at least get a chance to walk on somewhere, something's wrong.

Round Rock Christian kicked a pretty long one this year. I want to say it was 50 or close.

And if I remember, the final on that game was 50 to 4. That long one avoided the shutout.
