Exercise...by Smokey...

I know OFB. Beach St. used to be one lane now it's 4 lanes. To hold all of our traffic we need two more lanes. We are getting closer to looking like Dallas now. I haven't been to or thru Angelo in a long time. I can imagine how big and traffic congested Angelo's gotten. I loved it when I stayed with my Aunt there. Now it may be one of those big towns to avoid. I want to be in a small town so bad. I love the country more than anything. I keep putting the bug in my husbands ear about a small town.

I don't remember any of the names of the streets. I was young. The name of the streets sound crazy lol. I don't want to go there but maybe would like a pass through.

I could understand people wanting to knock my head off but let someone trash talks any one of you they have me to deal with. OFB I got your back lol

I wish I could make it to the games but I'm going to have to depend on Cowboy if he' posting the scores. If I could go I would walk the stadium with every bit of the will in my body.

Last time I was in Angelo, Knickerbocker street was worse than I-35 in Dallas.

You must not do I35E very often. I've done both in the last couple of years and would much prefer Knickerbocker or Sherwood in Angelo over driving in the metromess.

Ft Worth has so much construction you don't know if your coming or going. Every main Hwy has some on it. They are building new roads to the HWY so it's easy to get lost unless you travel the road everyday.

Pop that depends on age and illnesses. Like if you have bad knees, weight lifting isn't for you. If you have back problems, walking, weight lifting and so forth can cause more damage than you already have.I had a tech come over so he could help with some physical therapy and he ended up messing the stimulator that's in my back up. He told me 5 reps and they hurt but I was determined to do them. I ended up in bed with a broken lead in my back for a week+. So my deal was I had a therapist that didn't know what he was doing and I was too dumb for not stopping. I also told him about the stimulator and the leads. (the leads are long wires). You have to know whats good for you. Exercise cause wasted muscles to firm back up but the wrong kind can set you back.

This is only my opinion and what happend to me. I think for older age people walking is the best exercise you can do (going by what my grandmother did for her arthritis) And to leave weight lifting to the younger generation. Another thing is Jerry has an enlarged heart. He lifted heavy weights everyday and his doctor told him that his heart is a muscle so he had to quit weight lifting.

Pop what is so crazy is my doc approved the physical therapy. He or I just didn't know what the repucussion would be or how much the therapist knew about what he was doing. I think we need to by our gut feelings. My gut told me to escort the guy out of the door.

Hindsight is always 20/20...If we only knew before what we know now...That's why it's good to ask others who are in the same boat..what their experience was...

Your right Pop. I would love to go back to my younger days and do things so much different. But we can't. We have to deal with what we have. God is so good with we sinners and he helps us although we've sinned. He died for all the mistakes. I thank HIM for his mercy and Love that never Wavers. The Holy Spirit gives us direction in what we should do. If we listen to HIM then everything is alright. Praise the Lord and I thank our Father for my dear friends on this board. I love you Pops thru Jesus Christ.

Pop you are too. You have a dear heart. It's in most of all your post. Did we run the yahoo's off? Westexas better leave that deer alone unless he's in his truck That buck will think he injured him and come after him. Smokey has to be cooking but I hope not outside, you know Smokey and his DSW are Socialites. They have lots of cooking to do. My youngest son came to spend some time and nearly busted in my front yard. DSH is working in the cold and moved into a job trailer without any hot water. 5111 looks like another cooking boiling water pan tonight. Doc must be patching up messed up knees, backs, legs and arms. Cowboy is exercising his fingers to hopefully do the scores for all of us. How he does it is act like he's playing an invisable guitar. Ole Bearkat is looking up more information so he can quit explaining himself over and over. Hornkeeper is sitting on his hands waiting for his rankings to come out just right. He's thinking do I need to tune it up here or tune it up there. RJ is working hard at home to get everything ready for his new grandbaby. Won't be long now. Anyway I miss all my buddies. The rest of my friends are playing Santa Clause. Always a good thing for the kiddo's and the adults getting ready to bring our Savior into the new year. We need a lot of that.
