Yeah, saw the Jonesboro and Richland Springs game. Good game except for the crackback blocks by Richland. Crackback blocks have been around a long time but to design plays around a crackback block is just sorry. It's obviously designed to take somebody out. 5 state championships doesn't excuse your coaching or playing.

Would you rather see a chop block and have them go for the legs? Or let the ball carrier get hit. If its within the rules and it gets you in the endzone its a good play. You cant call them dirty if they are crack blocking. You call them physical.

Somebody needs to start up a flag football league for the "light weights" that don't want to get hit... if you don’t want to get hit by the RS player cracking back better develop some peripheral vision ...

I was at the game, and I'm a Jonesboro fan. I can say all the cracks that I seen were legal hits. The offense (kinda) that Richland runs is to spread the ball out which will set up the opponents for these kind of hits.

You've got to keep your head on a swivel when you find yourself thrust into the middle of a cockfight.

One thing that I think has lent itself to crackbacks is a change in the rules. Years ago, the "cracker" had to make sure his head was in the front or it was a "clip" or block in the back. Guess the powers to be decided it was too hard to call so they changed the rule to read that it was not a foul unless the "block" was square in the back and the defensive player went down face first. At least in the chapter I am familiar with, this is how they want it called.

Not saying it right or wrong, just saying that is the way it is. I have officiated RS and have never seen any "cheap" shots.

Just sayin

Just play football... Lot's of good coaches out there that just coach. Always easy to coach from the stands. Let the ref's handle play on the field, what they are there for.
