Normally it's unicorn and mj on here dogging me about Penelope. Looks like them rabbits got flattened by little ol' Austin hill country. Come on guys...let me hear it!!! At least Penelope put the smack down tonight. Even Bynum put it on Iredell! And aquilla handled their business with Waxahachie. Guess them rabbits ain't as fast as they thought they was. That or like you told guys told me, don't let your mouth write checks your boys can't cash on the field. I guess 3 out of 4 ain't that bad for D-1-14.

I will be the first to say that Abbott got whooped by Austin. Those guys played a heck of a game and Abbott looked like they were just going through the motions. I'm pretty sure they would have beat any team in our district the way they played against Abbott. They have great chemistry and I was told they have been playing football together since they were in elementary. This loss will do nothing except light a fire under the Panthers! That's not good news for Penelope, who we will match up with two weeks from now IN ABBOTT.
Yea I remember the last time we played in Abbott....Penelope 31 Abbott 30...it was a very good game!!! And Abbott lost!!!! LOST...I don't care if we played this game at a cow patty field over in axtell Texas... Bet your ass you over rated rabbits are gonna find out how over rated you are.

definitely give credit to AHC. they were crazy fast and half of abbott looked like they had given up by the time the 1st quarter was over. nobody followed blocks and defense looked awful. i would definitely say though that AHC would have beat all the other d-14 teams, by a 45 or not. abbott's gonna need to pick it up before the penelope game. most likely though this will tick them off more than anything and that'll be bad news for everyone else.
The way Penelope is coming together we will be there in the end right in the fight. I know with this district anything is possible, but last week against Coolidge and this week against Trinidad we have horn our butts in gear and Im pretty sure we will contend for our title again.

I decided to attend the Abbott-Austin Hill Country game Friday night, mostly because I thought Penelope & Aquilla games would be blowouts, and Bynum was playing in Irredell. It is the 2nd game this year I have seen Abbott play and I have definitely come to the conclusion they are very much OVERRATED! Austin HC was a good team, not spectacular and Abbott couldn't do basic things like block and tackle. The defense is not very fast or big...If you apply any pressure at all to their QB, he seems to become very irritated and has trouble remaing composed. Aquilla will have a field day with him if he doesn't find a way to control this. Aquilla and Bynum seemed to continue with solid good play, and Penelope seems to be peaking at the right time. Abbott's so called "tradition" came to an end last year by Aquilla on their home field, so they are going to have to fix a lot of things in the next 2 weeks, if they want a prayer at vieing for a spot in the playoffs. I have changed my picks for the District 14 playoffs, this is only my opinion, but unless things drastically, I would be willing to bet my first born child on the outcome lol.
1. Aquilla - they are just too loaded with talent....defense is probably one of the best in the state.
2 & 3. Penelope & Bynum - whoever has the best defense, because both can put points on the board.
4. Abbott - just too many young players and too many mistakes made each game. Should make the playoffs next year.

Mj, you talk a lot of crap about so called "non quality' teams that your panthers stuggled to beat....who has Abbott played? I hope your not talking about Walnut...Let's not forget Bynum beat Walnut Springs all over the place only to get beat in the last 2 minutes of the game. Blum, a sub par team that totally dominated Abbott, if it had not been for turnovers and penallties, they would have beat Abbott by 20+, Trinidad, who Penelope killed and you barely come out on top again....Avalon? hardly even a sub par team. You have played one team you could "classify" good and that was AHC, which kicked your A$$ all over the place. Aquilla totally dominated Lometa who has a very good team, 45'ed Milford with a full team healthy, something Abbott couldn't do with 3 starters out, Calvert who is ranked higher in state that Abbott and I could go on, but reading your previous posts to other people from Penelope and Abbott Im not going to waste my time. I would watch what I say or at the end of district play, you just might be eating a bunch of rabbit pellets (aka crow).
You might want to check your TEA ratings next time before you try to argue with David, Abbott was only "Recognized" this year not Exemplarary, and there just happen to be another school in District 14 with the same rating....Aquilla, dang it, you can't get one up on em no matter how hard you try, LMAO (and you probably haven't even seen anyone else in your district play, but I have seen Abbott play twice, and like I said before...OVERRATED!!!!)
