6 man History

According to their town hall meeting; Westphalia, Rosebud-Lott and Chilton.

From what I have heard there are already a number of students that go elsewhere.

Oh wow! That's it, the third one from the left!! Those storm clouds were mountains.
51eleven, if you were a woman I'd be knocking on your bedroom windar. (:

May have mentioned this some time ago...Dad played Copperas Cove in a six-man playoff game his senior year. It was way back in the year of our Lord, 1953. When he passed away in 2013 I found his High School scrap book loaded with a dozen or more newspaper articles of games from all four football seasons. One covered the CC loss. And if my memory serves me correctly there was one, maybe two articles of their yearly clash with Christoval led by you know who. One had a picture of my pop wearing a leather helmet, no mask.
Dad always said his team averaged maybe 135 pounds soaking wet, while Pardee was a strapping 190. That's all I will repeat about Dad's opinion of him.

That scrapbook is buried in storage.

I had two uncles that played against Pardee 3 years running. According to them, he was a beast. Most guys on both GC and Christoval were small maybe 150 lbs tops.

Also, they did not wear leather helmets, they were plastic with no face masks........

Also, any scores mentioned in those old annuals?????

Plastic may be right. They were gay as heck looking. I will have to go to the storage room soon and look.
There were scores, don't remember anything extra ordinary about them.

Forgive the anti-PC drop. But if not, PCrs can bite me.

When I was a freshman in HS, I helped the coach go through the equipment room to inventory and clean out stuff. There were uniforms from the 1940's and 1950's along with a few leather helmets and some of the plastic ones with either no face masks of a single bar. I wish now I had grabbed a couple of examples of each one, but in those days I did not care. It was amazing how much crap was crammed in a 10X15 room in the bowels of the gym.....

Also, those scores my be ones not recorded anywhere else ...

Lone Star shows them playing Trent, Lawn, Tuscola, Wylie, Abilene Christian, and Bradshaw in 1939/1940 and Paint Creek in 1951. The 1951 score might be an Eola score, but that is not known.
