I checked the school district web site yesterday. Their web page starts with video of basketball drills. Did not mention anything about football. All coaches are list for other sports besides football. The 68 year old(1958) mystery deepens.

There is a charter school in Brownsville (Jubilee) that has been playing for a while. People in the Valley don't consider Six man football, football. That's why the ValIey is so behind. If your wearing shoulder pads , helmet , etc. , its football. Six, eight, nine man, its football.
Their new AD is a football guy. He played in college and also played professional arena league football. So maybe that has something to do with their adding six-man? I did send an email to their superintendent yesterday afternoon, but I haven't received a reply yet. Hoping to hear back today with confirmation that they're planning on starting a six-man program. Same goes for Dell City's superintendent to inquire about their plans to re-join the six-man football community.

If I was a betting man, I would say RS spent some of this year's budgeted money on bringing JB back last season and then the squeeze is on. Then who is the odd man out? Second verse is the same as the first.
I had heard a week ago that the school was possibly going to have to file bankruptcy and was told to get rid of their highest three salaries so at that time I assumed JB would be out. I have no idea if that is true, just something that I heard thru the grapevine.
Apparently the board likes someone that has been proven to break the rules in order to win another title. As they say, a leopard does not change their spots.

The budget is determined by your favorite RS school board not JB and was not directed at JB; the same school board you were bashing last year about running off some good coaches. Do you remember?? So the clueless one is you since that is in your own backyard. Thought you could keep some logic straight, but it is not possible. By your definition, you must be a hater too. Lol

Sometimes I am. The duties of the school board are twofold. To hire and fire the superintendent and to approve the budget. The board totally screwed up on both. The citizens get the ultimate blame. They became complacent and let incompetent people take over the board. They hired a crooked superintendent who, …. Not the place to air dirty laundry so hopefully the next election will help get it straight.
JS, facts are facts. UIl found JB guilty of recruiting. He sat out 3 years. Your school board president in his letter blamed the past administrator for the financial problems RS faces. Does the board not approve the bills month by month. Do they not pay attention to the account balances or do they just approve whatever. They should receive some of the blame also. Also, in most situations of cutting costs, last hired, first to be let go.
