Check the Texas Tribune state case map as well for hot spots.

ANNOUNCEMENT! For those who missed it. In the early stages of this thread Topher and I discovered that we had more in common because of the concerns we have about this unbelievable situation that is called a pandemic and started being quiet civil with regard to our opinions and fact sources.
For those of you unaware Topher and I are so far apart on the political spectrum that there is known way to measure it. However in a quiet unbearable situation, called COVID, we found out our mutual concern for all people, young, old, ill, pre existing conditions etc. far out weighted our suddenly unimportant political and social differences. Kind of like in a battle, if someone is shooting at BOTH of you, suddenly you BOTH HAVE A COMMON ENEMY!
Some of you have called me an alarmist and accused me of creating panic, but that’s your take on things.
I hope the season starts and finishes. I pray that school starts and continues without interruption. I hope for business to return to normal and EVERYONE that wants to can return to work.
You see besides my love of the game and my involvement with football, baseball and other youth sports for over 50 years, I’m also a business owner.
This is extremely damaging to our economy. It’s hurting small and large businesses. It’s hurting families.
I own several companies. I have responsibility for over 150 people. I have obligations to families, banks, suppliers and all those employees and families that they have as well.
Young kids not in school, that hurts young families, of which we have quite a few.
Why do my predictions and opinions seem so unpleasant to others? Because in my many years of business I have studied what is happening so that I can make predictions and plan accordingly. Some people say I’m very successful, but I not. I’m Blessed ! I’ve spent a lot of time in my office IN PRAYER. Some people say I’m a gambler, heck, I don’t even play the lottery! They say I take chances in business decisions. Nothing is further from the truth. I read and study situations and I evaluate the risk. If its reasonable, I may take that risk and therefore share the profits or try to determine how to pay for the loss. But that’s just money, and if it’s gone, work harder, read more, evaluate better. It’s just money.
So how much money is your life worth? A family member? Your son or daughter’s best friend?
So yeah THERE IS A LOT OF MISINFORMATION, but which way will go? Which direction will you lead your family, school and teams in?
The words written on this site stay around so everyone will be able to go back and read everyone’s predictions.
I, for one, pray ALL of mine were wrong, and most of you are right. I pray this for the same reason that Topher and I are apparently, for whatever reason, are on the same team because we believe the threat is real and the threat is upon us, shooting at all of us. We are trying to share information to minimize the body count and casualties.

Yesterday UMHB, a D3 College in Belton announced they will have a 50% football season in the Spring. They will still be able for conference championships WITHOUT losing a year of eligibility.

For the high school kids reading this, especially the seniors:
The adults on here, and who knows maybe some of you, have argued whether we are going to play, when we are going to play, how we are going to play, and about all the politics surrounding it. I believe I speak for every single person on this board when I say we all want you to play, just like any other year, and wish this COVID virus would go away. Sure, there is more to live than football, but man it is a special time. I remember being devastated by not getting to play a few games in junior high because of lightning; the potential of this situation really puts that in perspective.
I'm not commenting on policy right now but rather want the kids to know that we, or atleast I, feel for them. Even if they get to play, I would hate wearing a mask on the sidelines with no fans. Honestly, I wish I could do something about it. Other than praying, all we can do is hope the medical and political officials make the best decision in a tough situation.

Agree with you. Facebook and Youtube have become a political tool of the left and is suppressing any information and data which doesn't further their agenda. I'm really surprised that so many people just go along with the negative press attached to the use of hydroxychloroquine without questioning it. The drug has been on the market and prescribed widely for close to seventy years. Two things going on for sure, the Media is falsely overstating Covid deaths while suppressing available information that it is easily treatable.
