Hard fought game on both sides Westbrook always gets the best of Rankin glad to see the Red Devils finally get past them and Westbrook will be Westbrook come playoff time

The Westbrook vs Rankin game was nothing short of a defensive masterpiece, two powerhouse programs going toe to toe, trading stops and refusing to give an inch. It was the kind of clash where every tackle popped, every fourth down stand felt like a touchdown, and field position became just as important as points on the board. Fans didn’t just watch football, they witnessed grit, heart, and determination on full display. Games like this remind you why Texas high school football is special, when two teams dig in and leave it all on the field, the score doesn’t tell the whole story, but the battle sure does. WEST what? Wildcats will bounce back!

State level game! The numbers truly don't represent what happened. They both fell off the "Top Defense" List, "Top Offense" List, and barely moved in the rankings, yet Friday night showed a different story. It's easy to put 70 on the board against a team ranked 110. To go toe to toe as they did and have both teams showing grit and determination is what lies behind all of the numbers. Both teams should be proud to be off those lists as they are fighting the tough fights in regular season and not just stacking numbers. Both teams should be at the top of all three lists in my opinion!

It sounded like a great game. I don't think anybody puts much though into "The List" Rankin is going to get their chance to climb the rankings when they play Borden County, then turn around and play #2 Water valley.

Game definitely had a playoff feel to it both teams could possibly meet again hopefully it’s later than a first or second round game both teams deserve a deep run
