Water Valley vs. Rankin Rematch

Who exactly were yall missing?? I have watched lots of film and it appears to me everyone was there that is there now? Yall lost a player in that game that is now back which is great. He was a great player and glad he got back healthy. Just curious since this tends to be the most popular excuse when a team does seem to get beat, who was missing?
What do you have to say now kitty Kats got put to sleep all that talk that’s why the games are played buddy

I appreciate the response fellas and yeah the extra points add up quick! I was mostly referring to the blowout in the first game and tonight! I saw where a couple guys said that rankin had players out the first game! Did both teams have all there players tonight? Was this game streamed anywhere?

Yes it was on NFHS. Coach Keith said they were healthy the first time they played, WV just beat them. Rankin just showed up to play, avenging both early season losses during the playoffs.

Well enjoy it the win for couple weeks. That’s last one you get

I wasn't at this game! For you folks close to the rivalry, what was the biggest factor in the upset tonight?
Water Valley got punched in the mouth early in the first half Rankin made most of their extra points and WV didn’t but the Devils proved that they belonged from the first meeting with WV…. Hats off to WV they made it a game in the fourth quarter but ran out of time

Rankin has peaked throughout the playoffs. Their two losses to BC and WV early in the year taught them some things. They grew, they learned, they adjusted and it all came together at the right time. They’ve had injuries throughout the year which forced adjustments, but as kids came back from injury they were all willing to adjust again. It created a lot of options with everyone doing whatever they could to get the job done. It’s a lesson in how heart, fight, and truly playing as a team can make a world of difference.
