Water Valley vs. Rochelle

Smokey,
I'm not overlooking the Indians, I just don't believe they have enough to get past Rankin and Garden City in that stacked district. Like SimplyPut says, it's a shame someone will have to sit the playoffs out. Ft. Davis has been a perennial contender ever since they made the switch to 6-man and I would imagine it won't be long before they are back in the playoffs... just not this year.

BlackCat,
I'm not counting chickens brother, just doing a little speculatin'. I know Rochelle is good, I just don't believe they are as good as the Wildcats!

I don't have a dog in the hunt and don't really care one way or another who comes out of that district, Rankin, Garden City Ft. Davis, or Sierra Blanca. But If I was a betting man I would think that barring injuries, Ft. Davis will be one of the two.

Good luck to Fort Davis then... actually I wish they would've beat Throckmorton for grins. Would've made things real interesting. Since Water Valley takes it one game at a time... it doesn't really matter who is winner or runner up in D7. Right now... we've got those Rochelle Hornets centered up in our cross-hairs! I'll bring the Raid...(and maybe a couple of sting sticks just in case)!!

GO WATER VALLEY WILDCATS!!!

I agree with you WV Backer...I just don't want Water Valley getting ahead of themselves...and in 6man, you get some people hurt and its a whole different ball game!

No predictions. I was just impressed with the Indians. I think they only have one senior and if they can get their defense playing on the same level as their offense, they're gonna be tough for the next few years.

This kind of made me wonder about Throckmorton. I heard Ft Davis was ahead part of the game and that makes me think that perhaps Throck's defense might be struggling? Not sure if they had a starter out or not... just saying they gave up a lot of points to a lesser ranked team. Fort Davis just might have had them figured out that night and I agree that Fort Davis has always been a tough contender. Very interesting at the minimum.

I guess so backer, u guys have a good team, wished we would of played better than we did, hope are running back isn't hurt to bad, good luck to u guys the rest of the year, give em hell.

Congrats CATS on your win against some tough Hornets. Now it's time for districtly play and we're backing you all the way. So sharpen up those claws and prepare well for Eden this coming week!

Good luck on the rest of your season Hornets!

We also hope #30 is not hurt to bad, he is a Hoss! But another fine win for the WATER VALLEY WILDCATS! I do believe the WILDCATS are ready for some district play. How will the district shape up? You pickem, lets see what everyone thinks. Chivo, lets hear your two cents!

After two big wins in a row the Wildcats get Rochelle for Homecoming. If things go according to plan Water Valley should run the table the rest of the year. Problem is, games are played on the field and you never know what will happen with high school football. I believe that, if the Wildcats just keep their noses to the grindstone and don't start looking too far ahead, they'll go into the playoffs undefeated and looking for a better result than last year. They'll probably get Garden City in the first round although a rematch with Rankin is not too far-fetched. I don't think Sierra Blanca or Ft. Davis has the horses to break into the top two. Anyone got a different opinion?

I stand corrected. Ft. Davis takes out Garden City 38 - 34 tonight.

Wow, you really were impressed with Ft. Davis. I guess only time will tell.

Smokey,
O.K., so I put too much faith in the Bearkats. Can you blame me? Two time defending champs and all that. Still, you were right about the Indians. Who knows, they might be the ones hoisting the District 7 Championship trophy in the end.

I hate to say I told you so............but I told you so.

Hey Backer, Did Smokey really have to cock his hat and smirk at you when he said that?? LOL

I sorta had a feeling that this might happen as well.... but I can't see the Indians exorcising those Red Devils.

hey guys all I said was that FD would be ONE of the teams from that district in the playoffs. Barring injuries, I think I also said. That still goes however, the Indians did this with one of their studs on the sideline with crutches..........maybe they are better than I thought as well...

I think it was justobserving that was trying to tell me early in the season that Garden City wasn't as good as I believed they were. He was talking about the mystique of a winner and all... perhaps he was right as well. Regardless of where they finish this year I still refuse to cry any tears for GC - I think they're just reloading. I'm with fortyfived in believing that Rankin is still the team to beat in District 7 but, again, who knows?
