The big C - a nightmare in the making.

Congrats Pete! By the time Hico comes around you'll be wanting some Frito Pie and asking me to overnight you some of my many varieties of peppers. :)

Well Pete since you've got the day after off for the pc reasons I guess it's not too late to say Happy Easter. Guess filmore don't do chocolate bunnies or deviled eggs. Glad to hear the the throat is getting even a tiny bit better, and that your gettin a little grumpy as opposed to just exasperated.
I spent several years with a Japanese electronics company that gave us Columbus day off. Some people think about the bank or post office being closed but the day after it was inevitable at the service counter and on the phone, "I drove over 50 miles from the other side of the metromess and the traffic was backed up forever from a wreck and you were Closed!".
(and now you want to charge me HOW much to fix my 14 month old ___)

Have 3 scorpions up and outside, 4 chili petins plants and 2 super hot cherry peppers. now I just have to wait for the fruit. Planning on making special hot salsa for the summer rendezvous, forewarned - it might be a tad bit warm.

How's everything going Pete? I have not seen any new postings in a while and was just wondering.....

Thanks for wondering - finished chemo and radiation. Much to the disappointment of pope buford, I got to keep my hair, but radiation did a number on my butt, I am just now getting back to being able to talk, swallowing is slowly coming along. I managed to down a pudding cup yesterday. Most stuff still doesn't taste right so it's not going down. But I have two weeks till the feeding tube is out so I have to start eating a heck of a lot more.

I'm good for a couple of hours then I need a break, really tire easily, sleeping 16-18 hours a day but that is also decreasing. Weight loss seems to have stabilized at 38 lbs, I would mind losing about 10 more but plan to try to hold this weight as long as I can.

It was an adventure and not one I want to do again. It has been a learning experience and I have changed my thoughts on being sick. As someone that wasn’t ever sick I never realized how much it really hits a person. Guess it made me a kinder, gentler kind of guy.

A kinder, gentler Pete just ain't right. We gotta find a way to get him back to normal.

Heck - I heard a rumour he held open a door for a little old lady with a Vote Democrat sticker on her walker the other day.

If he keeps doing crap like that, we're going to all have to quit being nice to him. Oh well, at least the little old lady didn't have an Obama sticker on her walker.

If I read the blog right and he's still on schedule tis a big day for Pedro. Today is supposed to be the day Filmore gets evicted. A big step in the whole process.

Filmore was evicted. I will be adding to the blog later this evening. I seemed to have slept most of yesterday. Today I feel like I've been beat with is stick, but I am minus both a mediport and a feeding tube so all is good.

Over all I'm up to about 80% and making progress. Thanks for the support.

Congrats Pete!! On a side note, I oversee care for ladies and gentlemen with the "Big C" on a daily basis, so continued progress is a blessing.. We are all keeping you in our prayers, and pray you hit that 100% mark very soon!!

WOOHOO!! So this means any care packages we send should contain actual food as opposed to cans of Fillmore Juice, correct? Any foods you need to avoid? Scorpion peppers perhaps?

A soon as those taste buds rehab we need to head off for some fish bait. The shashimi is rumored to be wicked good over at Pirahna Shushi
Since I won't gag myself on sushi I don't know what sashimi is. But if your gonna do that he can probably already handle some of those hi dollar fish eggs and some mashed up goose livers.
