Texas-Oklahoma

8) guess what guys bob stoops has the better record overall, with macky too. i got my tickets for the red river shootout. ou has alot of studs on this team. you will find out in two weeks. we have too take care of colorado first. ou is averging 62, a game. scoring on offense in four game 246-47, on defense. i look forward too watching colt go down, with alot of sooners on top. boomer sooner ou-johnny.

I really hope texas wins the game.. I hate OU, I like stoops, but I cant stand Oklahoma. Stoops does a great job of recruting texas players, which is why I dont understand how anyone from texas could support Oklahoma

QB -

WR - Malcolm Kelly is the best WR in the BIG XII. He also plays in a better offense with a better QB.

Who is leading the nation in receiving? Michael Crabtree, he missed the game winner in Stillwater but I think he is leading the nation in most catagories!

The reason OU is so good is because they recruit from the great state of Texas! I think they should change the name to The University of Texas in Norman!

I agree with crawford. You can't put any stock into nation leaders in any category. For one, the system is a big factor, as well as strength of schedule. 3 years ago Jamario Thomas of North Texas led the nation in rushing on the year.

But, NT ran the ball 99% of the time, had no passing game to speak of, and play in the Sun Belt Conference.

Limas is probably up there, but I think the best truthfully is desean Jackson from Cal.. He scores on average every 7 times he touches the ball.. scores off end around (rushing), punt and kick returns, as well as receptions.. like a devin hester with receiving capabilities, or reggie bush primarily as receiver..

I'd take either one, Limas has a great mixture of speed and Height. I just think it's way too easy to take him out of the game.. He looks for big plays and will disappear from a game. I watch Texas week in and week out, and Vince was the best thing that ever happened to sweed. Jackson, you can call soft but the man puts up points, he makes big plays, he doesnt have to be open he will make people miss just as bush did in college. Guaranteed Jackson will be one of the best playmakers in the nfl within 3 years

the best stats don't mean the best player. the heisman is given to the best player not the player with the most rushing, passing, receiving yards, etc. sometimes it happens that they are the same but in tech's case, no way. you can put anyone at quarterback, and i mean anyone, in tech's offense and they will have 400 plus yards a game.

The Tech student/fan always argues how good they are based on stats. That's a horrible argument. UNT has the second leading receiver, and I will never say he's the 2nd best in the nation! That's insane!

Answer this: With all the 'talent' and 'athletes' Tech has had at offense, how many actually made a career at the next level?

Bam Morris and Wes Welker. Some others are there, but no impact whatsoever.

Hodges, Kingsbury, Cumbie, Symons, Harrell...they'll always be the same.

That is a great point, Harrell as far as the 11man game goes has the high school record for td passes, but why didnt texas recruit him? Or if they did why didnt he go? Because he either wanted great stats with a watered down schedule, and a passing offense, or he realized he couldnt start at UT. I would love if Tech was good, because it would better texas. But Tech doesnt really produce nfl talent that will impact on sundays

8) on the best wide reciever is no doubt malcolm kelly from oklahoma. ou plays alot of players, and bob stoops dosen,t try too run up the score with his first string in three quarters, he plays everybody. but mack brown will play them as long as the 4th quarter, i notice. he knows he better put up some points so the texas fans don,t whine. we are way ahead on points, and they know that. yea oklahoma recruits players out of texas, but other colleges does too haha. maybe we should call the university of oklahoma in austin, haha. see ya boomer sooner, oh by the way we know you texas, aggies and tech fans will be watching ou play colorado, get your popcorn, and blue bell ice cream ready long day for the buffs. see ya ou-johnny.

hahaha. exactly.

Ok let me get this straight.........so you are saying that Tech only has a high powered offense because they pass all the time......ok let me see here.......isn't short precise passes part of a west coast offense? So let me see here.....I guess that would make Jerry Rice a product of his offense wouldn't it? Does that make him lesser of a player because he was a part of the west coast running 49ers?

I'm not comparing any of Tech's players to Jerry Rice but they ran the same type of offense! :?

Nothing is wrong with the Tech offense (I actually like it), but you can't say they are the best just because of their stats. The reason Jerry Rice is considered the best is a combination of stats AND rings.

The problem with Tech isn't the offense, it is the defense. I believe the scheme they use should be called the TOREADOR (actually fits with the Red Raider), because when an opponent comes running up with the ball, they turn and yell --- OLE'

BTW, Wes Welker is awesome. Any UT fan (self included) could tell you that guy was going to make it back in college.

I will be the first one to say that their defense is horrible! I think I threw like ten empty beer cans at the TV last saturday!

I just don't understand why these guys don't get the recognition on offense that they deserve. Michael Crabtree is being considered as a Heisman candidate and I believe that Kingsbury and Symons were both in the top 8 candidates by year's end.

Why aren't other teams trying this offense out? I find it funny that most teams with terrible defenses usually try this offense and make the team as a whole look better.

Can you imagine if Texas or OU ran this offense? Frightening!
