Several others close to upsets.
# 25 Cherokee over # 81 Blackwell 36-30. Cherokee came from behind in the 4th. Down to last play, Blackwell 4th and goal.
# 3 Jonesboro comes from behind (in the 4th?) to beat #38 Medina 62-56.
# 5 Happy over # 9 Knox City 50-0.
Gordon came from behind by 12 in the 4thto beat Blum by 4 after being heavily favored.
Loraine over Richland Springs 52-0. How many years since RS has been skunked? Booted from the playoffs in round 2?
Congratulations to Bluff Dale on their assentation to the QF for the first time ever.
Throck faces the buzz saw next week. Maybe Balmorhea can give them a little game the week after.

Seemed to me like Jonesboro thought it would be an easy game and had to fight to get the win in the second half. Controlling boatman hurt Jonesboro the entire first half.

Yup. Mr. Nickerson nearly beat us (ETHS) in the second half by himself. (OK, no man is a team, but he clearly stands out for Oakwood.) if he is able to get a head of steam down-hill, look out. The first man that encounters him rarely stands a chance. Oglesby must have played some tough defense to limit Nickerson and Oakwood to 38.
