When do they put the rankings out for public and private schools for this upcoming week?

And at least one of this week's games won't be played until Monday night (Bryan Allen/Waco Parkview).

This week ... and next week ... are going to be a real pain for schedules, scores and rankings. Many of the private schools in Houston and SE Texas cancelled this week ... and I expect that most will be unable to play next week (and possibly beyond that) ... think this through ...

First, you have to assess damage at your school. The status of the football field is going to be far behind classrooms, power, water, etc. Some schools may have significant structural damage that might require substantial repairs before the school is safe for your students.

Then, folks need to be able to get to your school. If you've hauled off to San Antonio, Dallas, or parts east, you're probably not getting back home until mid-week. You need to get your staff and students back to school.

All that being done, then you can round up the football team and have practice. No coach worth his salt is going to play a game on Friday or Saturday if his first practice that week was on Thursday. Oh, and you'd better reconfirm your officials and all the other "stuff" you need for a game -- all of which may be in a mess from the storm.
