Try this.

1. Suppose Throckmorton makes it to quarter finals
2. Suppose WV makes it to quarter finals having to beat Crowell on the way.
3. Suppose Throckmorton was to win that game against WV, would Crowell get to take their
place in the semi finals due to them beating Throckmorton in district play?

Rankings are fun to look at but reality is they are pointless.

The "toy" can't factor in injuries, weather suspended games, etc. that effect the final scores.

For example, Team A is picked by 45 points, but the game is called at halftime because of weather and Team A is only winning by 28.


Wouldn't Team A drop a few points in the ranking system because they didn't fulfill the spread???

I wouldn't dare speak for Guru but yes they would drop. I think this is the first time in a long time that I went through the season without checking the rankings.
