some games this week raised questions

freddy by 45 only won by 13 -32 difference
notre dame by 45 only won by 14 -31 difference
houston tc by 11 lost by 21 -32 difference
alvin by 22 lost by 32 -54 difference
sa town east by 16 won by 4 -12 difference

one that should scare all but seguin is brenham -2 won by 28 +30 difference

is this a sign that the teams arent as good as some say or the otheres are better then ones thought?

Shows you could go broke taking Granger's advice ... or as the old adage goes, there's more money to be made in GIVING advice than TAKING advice ...

And us folks in Seguin have even more healthy respect for Brenham. That wasn't expected; yes, a win. Not a 28 point win.

Well, if we can all stay healthy and win, let's plan on Thanksgiving weekend somewhere in South Central Texas.

Saw 2 of these games....you probably should just throw out the TE/Castle Hills game, and that's not to diminish a colossal effort from TE in the second half (CH led 26-6 at halftime). But, CH lost one of their best to injury and 2 to ejection (along with 2 from TE), plus a steady drizzle throughout, plus some truly bizarre officiating and some, well, interesting play calls. Otherwise, it was a great, great game to watch, but the point spread was meaningless.
As far as Freddy/Believers, it was played at 11am on a sloppy field...double ugh. In direct answer to your question, Believers is much, much better than they were last year.

Clairatt19- I would agree with you the point spread is meaningless. Granger has no idea how good or bad a team is this early in the season, especially tapps Div II. As far as officiating goes, I thought it wasn't very good either. Injuries? Town East hasn't played with their full squad for the whole season. We have one (starter) coming back slowly from a broken collar bone, and one(starter) out from a very bad knee injury. I hope to have both of them back at full strength against Lifegate but we will see, don't want to rush them back too soon.
As far as the ejections? It should never have happened. I believe Castle Hills is much better than people think, but I am proud of the way Town East never gave up and kept fighting back!

so its settled the TE and CH game is out. what about the others? just for good convorsational purposes. Brenham, Seguin,Tyler street and as a precation Freddy are the favorites. what about the other teams who could stir something up?
