As a Brenham Christian parent I want to say that we are very proud of our Eagles - they did not win the game last night - but they did not give up. They played till the last snap of the ball and they played hard. Our quarterback, Travis Cole, showed great leadership and personally did his best to help us overcome our shortfall of points. Our running backs ran their hearts out, our blockers blocked with all they had in them - they worked TOGETHER as a team to overcome their situation. In the end they ran out of time to get to where they wanted to be - a lot like life sometimes. They have given us a full year of fabulous plays and wonderful memories. They have played in a Godly manner and always been gentlemen on and off the field and I congratulate them on a great season.

i saw the game.... hats off to brenham's offense for keeping them in it in the second half...... but the fumbles in the red zone (6 and 1 yd line...) and the arm tackling were just uncharacteristic of these eagles.... ever seen the movie miracle??? "they might beat us nine out of ten times, but tonight is that tenth time" or something like that... i think the coach pulled that one..... and 6manmomma your son is a stud and i can't wait to watch him help us win the all star game.... by the way, how are his legs.... i've never seen somebody get flipped like that before....

Never saw that movie - he was walking last night (kinda slow) - he's still in bed so we will see when he gets up. We got in bed abt 2 am.

kinda makes me feel alittle better about our (Town East) loss to them in the first round (65-40). again, congratulations on a big win!

Where all the haters at? Congratulations Christway!!!!

Thank you, haters. You probably help inspire Christway. Last year, they were given nothing but praise in the forums and they lost to Freddy. So, you may have helped them be more motivated with the dire predictions.

6ManMomma, prayers from Arlington for Lonnie. Hope he's up and running around quickly. I hope to see him play next Saturday in the all star game.

Your team did great this year. Congrats on a phenomenal season by BCA. My son graduated from Christway 2 years ago and I still go to their games, so hope you do the same and continue to support the Eagles just as you did before. Six man football is the best football around.

Lonnie is absolutely fine - he will be at practice (for the South) tomorrow night. He was not hurt by the tackle, he was having leg cramps. Thank you for your prayers and kind words. Congratulations to your school. Lonnie is our second #22 to graduate from Brenham Christian and I'm sure we will be seeing many more of their games. I'm looking forward to just being a spectator!

Hey, pops ... if I remember right, you weren't planning to bet any grocery money on Christway, either ...

Mr. Lifegate, you are correct. I think I said I feared the worst but hoped for the best. Last year, I was so positive that Christway would beat Fredricksburg. But then the QB sparined his ankle, the tight end was injured in run thrus just before the game and all of a sudden, Freddy 45's them. Should have had more faith this year. However, don't think I was a hater like other suddenly absent posters. Oh, I would not bet the grocery money on a rematch, either. Brenham was one fumble away from winning. Doubt they would fumble twice in a rematch. They are really good and had a great season. But Christway is the champion and I am happy
