Does anyone know where I could see a Bracket from 1987. I am interested in seeing Lohn's Road to the Championship and Why Ft. Hancock was not there. The only year that they didn't play for a championship in a string of 7-8 yrs.

Quick question? Were districts called zones then? Or is that a different round?

No. For a few years in the 80s a few districts were big enough to break into zones. The winners of the 2 zones would play and that winner would represent the district in the Bi-District game. In 1987 there may have been one or two districts that had zones...I think Wellman's district did...I will have to check my 1987 Dave Campbell's magazine

That was a district game within their zone, yes Trent beat Jayton 36-26, yet Jayton won that zone. It was Jaytons only district loss so Trent must have lost another district game to not win the zone

If I remember correctly Wellman had a three way tie for their district this year. Wellman, Loop and Sands.

The zone things are kind of crazy...I think maybe there were times when say the north zone #1 team played the south zone #2 team (and vice versa) and then the winner of those two games played for the district championship...dont know if anyone did that in the season in question here but I seem to remember that happening before

I have the all-state teams, but it is rare that HM was published at all and I dont think i have that
