Official Numbers for Realignment

As reported on theoldcoach.com, Marfa turned in 98 and Bronte turned in 93. No news if they would move from 11 man Conf 1A-Div II to 6 man.

got a call from a buddy in Marfa and he told me they said they are going 6man for sure. But waiting on official confirmation from the school.
That's great news! I hope we get a few more schools in the east too.

I have also heard they will be seeking to be six-man in the coming rel-alignment

Darn, you guys are skating really close to the edge. 2 more Angelo refugees and you're back into 11 man.

That would really be a shame. They would have to go in and build a domed 11 man complex next to that "run down embarrassment" of a 6 man facility they have now....

They better take some capital outlay funds and build a fence around the community .....

Wow! To both of you. No need for either of you to get excited. I certainly am not in a position to know these numbers, but from what I understand WV has a couple large classes in the high school now, but when 2014 comes along, the numbers show to be going down. So 2012 is the hurdle to make. Bottom line, don't get to excited because WV isn't done with 6man quite yet.

OBK, I have not forgot the incident a couple years ago when you shed some unfavorable light on WV. Though the stats were there and correct, so was the intent. You do much better spreading out the historical matchups amonst many districts these days. I applaud you for that. But why is it you do not seem to have any use for Water Valley? I hope I have read you wrong on this over the years, but if you don't care for WV, I would really enjoy hearing why.

Throckmortons enrollment as been slowly dropping for the last few years.

Could be increasing as more Washington newspaper reporters continue to scour Throckmorton County for rocks with offensive words repainted over them ... that is, assuming they relocate their families away from their tony Georgetown digs ...

Or, back when he was traveling from GC to Austin to go to college, his horse drew up lame at WV and the local blacksmith charged him to much to reshoe it.

Is this really happening? The media frenzy really showing up?

Only if Perry picks up in the polls ... or wins that crucial "straw poll" at the Eastern South Carolina Republican Women's County Fair Coffee Cake Bake Off Grits Festival and Debate, which will be carried live on the Cooking Channel next week ...

Now you hit the nail on the head, plus he put shoddy shoes on my nag.

In case anyone is wondering - "run down embarrassment" - was sarcasm ...

As for me, I wasn't wondering. I knew exactly what it was. More trash talk. It's ok though. WV does have very nice facilites along with many other schools.

Of the list of folks who might or may go sixman. Marfa is a given, and the only other might be Frost. Several years ago, they considered it because of low numbers. Roscoe, seriously doubt it or Baird. Baird is in a district where there are several teams weaker than they are. Just saying.
