If I only did the Top 10 for both, this would be a non-issue. If you want my honest opinion, I would be very curious who is ahead in the DI versus DII head-to-head matchups. I would be very hard pressed to pick against any of the Top 10 in DII. Being #11 in DI may not be as difficult as being #11 in DII. You're comparing the ranking of a DI team against a ranking of a DII school, which is apples to oranges. Too different divisions. That doesn't mean the 20th best team in DII couldn't beat the 10th best team in DI. But beating a tope ten ten in DI doesn't mean they're better than the teams ranked ahead of them in DII.

Technically you are right. However, it was only last year that Follett was in Division I and this year have played several Division I teams (Throck, Valley, Meadow, Crowell, and Miami) and held their own only losing to them by 5-10 points (with the exception of Throck who 45'd them and Miami who they beat). The Meadow, Valley, and Crowell games were very close and could have easily gone Follett's way. Two different divisions but they play the same football on the field. Just saying.
It's your rankings and you can rank them how you like, but for the record all three of these teams are in the same district and Rochelle plays May Friday night so stay tuned.coachsatcher":q99m30fs said:truthhurts04":q99m30fs said:coachsatcher, you do realize that May your #17 lost to Santa Anna your #19 by 22 and Santa Anna lost to Rochelle your #20 by 30....doesnt make much sense!
So your concern is over three places in the rankings?? Really??? I guess I will put more emphasis in head-to-head match ups, rather than record. With your logic, if the #1 team who was 9-0, loses to an 0-9 team, does that mean the now 1-9 team becomes a higher ranked team than the now 9-1? Just curious.

I guess to make it simple, tell me who is in the Top 10, in DII, that you believe Follett should be ranked in front of and why. If there is someone in the Top 10 who was 45'd by Miami, then I will look into it. However, Miami's ranking has no correlation to Follett's. Two different divisions.

But you want to talk about records...May your #17 is 5-2 and Santa Anna your #19 and Rochelle your #20 the team that just beat them by 30 are both 7-1...so even by your logic you are wrong. Just sayin....
Oh and yea head to head should get more emphasis...what the heck...I understand if it was week 0 loss and by week 8 a team got better...but this happened last week!!!

Umm...yes, I realize this....lol. If you look back at the thread, someone else actually brought up the "ranking" issue, I just wanted to comment on who they had played that is ranked. Doesn't matter to me.....![]()

I'm not upset, but could really use help if you know something I'm missing. Jonesboro, Richland Springs, Milford and Trinidad are the only teams, ranked high in DII, that I've actually seen. The others; I have no clue. I just wanted a ranking with no 0-6 or 1-7 teams listed. After that, I'm open to suggestions; as long as they don't over step their boundries and get personal.

I admire someone who would put it all out there knowing there will be people that will challenge him. It is interesting reading everyone's opinion and I enjoy these boards. I don't have any inside knowledge......I do think Groom is ranked too high having seen them play. Motley County perhaps. But again, I haven't seen any of the teams in the lower part of the state play. Will be fun to see how it all plays out on the fields.
