Just saying

It’s really a shame what that Benjamin defense really could be. Every game I’ve seen there seems to be a lack of hustle. In my opinion , a team with this kind of talent should be shutting teams out. I know my opinion doesn’t affect the scoreboard or their record. Looks like school yard ball to me . A lot of players bending over with their hands on their knees and they’re not even playing a full game? Maybe lack of discipline ? Makes me wonder what they would be in D1.
Only 2 teams have scored on Benjamin’s starting Defense. I’m quite sure you are not watching Benjamin play, merely just starting a rumor.

Record shows otherwise, only one shutout for the mustangs this year. I seen the Follet game. The defense did not look so hot. I’ve watched the film . All I hear are the hometown fans talking about a lack of hustle.

Lol lack of starters on the field when touchdowns occur. sorry to burst your bubble.

Stats are meaningless. We've got a coach who will only play his starters for a quarter (if that) and will put backups in when it's 32-0. We had a game this year where our starters played 3 possessions. He didn't want to be perceived as running up the score, so he played the JV kids (who had played 4 quarters the night before) the rest of the way. We still won 68-7, so I don't know what was gained by depriving your starters of reps. At some point, you have to be thinking about what gets you prepared for the playoffs instead of the opponent's feelings. (That's a discussion for a different thread.) The main point is that you're trying to compare scoring averages among teams and coaches who approach the game differently and have completely different situations.

Uhhhh….I wouldn’t tell anyone else this info. If JV kids played at all on a Thursday, they cannot touch the field on a Friday. That’s clearly stated in the UIL rules about number of contests per week. It doesn’t matter if it’s JV or varsity. One football contest per week. Yikes.

well I guess they softened up a little since last years post game conference . All they wanted to talk about was how their scout team scored more points on them than anyone else. So I figured they would take people scoring on them a little more serious. That was my only concern. Much respect for the team. I expect to see them win at Jerry World in December

Not UIL....TAPPS. In TAPPS you get 6 quarters per week.

I'm not a Benjamin fan. I'd love the opportunity to play Benjamin, but our coach would never let it happen and we're TAPPS, so we can't meet in the playoffs. I'm not saying we would beat them. I just wish we could play the best as a measuring stick of how good we really are.

Benjamin is well coached. Coach Hayes is a good guy. Just because the 2nd string gives up some points isn’t a big deal. They are still 45 points better than everyone they have played this year. Those kids didn’t make the schedule .

I have seen on YouTube number 1 catch a kickoff and pretty much walk for 30 seconds before making a move then got tripped up and fumbled for a scoop and score . Now is it lack of hustle ? Or is it my crap don’t stink kind of attitude? We will find out soon enough

Are you incentivizing that you think Benjamin will lose a game? If so put your money where your mouth is. I’ll give you 44 points on any team. PM ME! You saw one play with a tackle for loss. That is something that didn’t happen one time last year so I get it was a shock when it happened! You must have never played spread back and heard of letting the play develop in front of you and making reads. Sounds like I’m talking to an a$$ back honestly. You wouldn’t know good football if it hit you in the face.

Dang Hornet I think ya might have ruffled some feathers. I really think they will be playing for the championship but their schedule is a bit weak so I don’t know . I watched them last year in the Championship and I have to say I was impressed. But what I wasn’t impressed with the show boating by a certain player. If your as talented as his dad claims , you don’t need all that .

If you’re a grown adult you wouldn’t badmouth a child to the point his father felt he needed to step in and defend his son via “showboating” in the press conference. Did his father lie? Multiple division 1 college visits as a junior say no.

Well I guess will have to wait and see about college and hey if he ends up playing for one that’s great. And I’ve said it before a dad has a right to brag on his son . But that press conference was made about him and him alone. Imagine if you can how the rest of the team felt about it. The whole team won that championship not just one person.
