It's A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood......

Mr Little Doggie you have been so kind and sweet. I enjoy you coming around. You made me feel right at home. Lots of Love to you.

I cant believe it Mel B. You are actually affecting these old buzzards, me included. (we would see a group of buzzards and say the school board is meeting again). I actually saw CP say something nice on another thread. He didnt have to, he just slipped up. Wonder who's next. Deep recliner, hot chocolate, popcorn, and a John Wayne movie to you all.

This was not conducive to a real productive work day. I almost went home sick at lunch to get out the chocolate, chili (yeah, canned), popcorn and Sons of Katie Elder.

You misunderstand; you see while matriculating at an institute of higher(sic)learning, I used to enjoy going with my fellow attendees to late night eateries (particularly Jake & Dorothy 's) and partaking of copious amounts of omelets which did contain mushrooms as the primary ingredient.
I totally understand your misinterpretation of my innocuous post, but do want to affirm that my consumption of that particular fungi was entirely legal.
You are certainly forgiven for having misunderstood................ Did I mention I could make it to Proctor in 24.33 minutes?

You didn't eat at Jake & Dorothy's without something good and greasy to compliment the eggs.
The time to proctor is decent with a fuzzzzzbuster but are you sure you didn't just go to Handy's on the county line?

I like mushrooms............ Ate a lot of them in the '60's

The kind that grow in a cow flop after a rainstorm????? The red ones?

I've heard that was a safety test for mushroom's but I never could pull one out of a cow pattie and eat it.
Then again I've heard that kind will make ya puke, go cross eye'd and wonder what you did the night before.

Also, I've been told I was wrong about Young Guns. They were eating cactus bulbs.
And to clarify Mel, the chicken wasn't pukin. They were in a high dry mountain area with no chickens around for miles and one said look at that chicken, then puked.

I bet Mr Little Doggie could run out and catch these squirrels around here. They eat catfood, dogfood and anything else we throw out. These dogs are so fat they half way chase them then turn around. I'm always hoping a squirrel will nip the dogs on the nose. My little doggie likes to type nice things that I appreciate. He's a very sweet doggie and I bet he likes butterflies and roses. He's just a great guy.

Mr 5111 LOL oh my gosh ya'll did have some home grown mushrooms, the red ones. I can imagine everyone saw chickens, cows, horses and so forth. And Mr5111 have you ever tasted cactus candy apples made into jelly? Boy it's the best.

The grease was a side benefit. As to time, I don't think the travel aide was common I'd never heard of one anyway. '67 ford 3/4 ton. Once took a shortcut through the rest area. And it was to downtown Proctor. The "Good Old Days'???? Not really all that good ............
BTW I think those cactus buds were peyote. And I don't mean the town.

There is no downtown Proctor anymore, anyway. Your just supposed to slow down to 55, but you might get run over if you do. The Red Barn drive thru has been closed for years.

They built that 20 -30 years after my time.......as far as downtown goes....... Wasn't much there then either. I haven't been through there in several years.

No Mr 5111 and Mr Smokey theres' not much of Proctor anymore. When I'm driving the speed limit Cars. Trucks and Semi's are going around me. At that giving me ugly looks. I just shrugged and keep driving. Proctor is my near point to my parents ranch.

You know me oh too well.

Actually,
Maybe you could help me out
with something.
I asked my players parents to
"PLEASE"
not feed my players junk food,
or give them that sugar addicting Gatorade,
make sure they get a good night's sleep,
make sure they do their homework,
and pass all their classes,
get em' to early practice on time,
and pick them up promptly from the gym
when we return from out-of-town,
but they still won't do it.

Should I resort to butterflies
or just bite them?
I'm leanin' toward the latter.
jus sayin'.

Yes Mr Little Doggie every once in a while they need to be bit. Or tell the kid that you want a meeting at your house to a face to face talk. Usually that does it. Or if you have a kid that's throwing fits on the field bench them for a time out. Rose and Butterflies won't motivate kids but if you can refrain from hollering and let them know your disappointed and you know they can do better with the team that usually does it. My idea if someone comes up screaming in my face bud it's went in one ear and out the other. Thats how our kids do. but if you let the player know that YOU know he can do so much better, most of the time you get the very best he can do. Pats on the shoulder pad and backs lifts a kid up if they're not playing up to par, then they will give their very best to impress you. If they do make an impression with your coaching. A good I KNOW YOU CAN DO THIS WILL BUILD THE KIDS UP AND EVEN IF THEY LOSE LET THEM KNOW YOUR PROUD OF THEM FOR GIVING HEART. And heart to heart talks works wonders. Rose and Butterflies is for we parents that get all bulled up when a team loses. Most of all teach your kids to be good sports. Because in life we don't win all the time.

PS Doggie tell the kids that they're not to depend on mama and daddy to follow your rules. They're men now and when theyfollow all the rules you set out for them. They will be successful. If they listen to you then that's exactly what's going to happen. If Coaches give their kids respect the kids will respect their coaches.

Oh I know pear jelly, algerita berry jelly , mustang grape, mesquite bean and probably a few others that slips my feeble mind. The buds in the movie are from a variety of cacti and are still used today in some Native American religious ceremonies. It is known to have a psychedelic affect on people

Is the old school there still being used to store junk?

I wouldn't know about any school besides the soda store. I'm too busy hanging on to the steering wheel. That area is plum scary. The traveling was before the back surgeries. I don't understand why the beer barn was shut down unless the liquor store was cheaper. The club is shut down also. The boards are falling off the building if I'm thinking of the right town. I get depressed going through Bluffdale because of those durn railroad ties piled up at the end of the town. Also Whiskey Flat, Their light is so long. I liked it better when there wasn't a light. Now no more complaining. This is a happy happy thread. One to be nice on. At 7:12 I've already messed up.

My favorite is elderberry jelly. My grandmother would make it annually, but since she's been gone for 10 years, I haven't had any.
