I'm having this debate

I'm having this internal debate on which stadiums are my favorites. The debate isn't about grass vs turf (I prefer turf more). The debate is if the stadium has a track around it or not. All the six man games I went to (with the exception of the state title games) had a track. I understand the practically of having a track around a football field. However, I love watching from the fenceline and the track messes with the sights of the game. However, the stadiums that I went to look good overall (especially Robert Lee). The main problem is that I've seen a six man game in a stadium without a track (again, excluding AT&T stadium) so maybe I just need to go to a game in Lometa or Cherokee.

The #1 stadium on my bucket list to go to “was” Sterling City. They went 11 man so I guess it has been redone. Go to google maps. Iredell is a neat field built for six man. Hico is 11man but you are still close. Milford, Calvert, Newcastle, Throckmorton, Union Hill, Leveretts Chapel, Goldberg, The Pasture in Bastrop, McDade, and I’m sure more. A few of these are old 11man fields and bleachers need to be moved closer but there is no track. These are grass but some are really good fields. Don’t know about this year with no rain. We need more listing of fields. Lots I have not made it to.

I went to Sterling City around New Year's Day when it was still in the six man layout. I saw the field after it was reconfigured on Facebook. Hopefully, I get to see some of those other stadiums that you listed in the near future

I really liked Iredell. Saw a playoff game a couple of years ago. I hope some others comment on this. There are lots of fields I have not seen but I do like the ones without the track best. Sterling City should be an awesome 11man field. May have to put it on my bucket list for an 11man game.

Your question looks like it's not the name of the stadium that matters, but the presence of a track around the playing field.
And that's a point that concerns me, too. For example, I also like watching from behind the fence rather than through the track. But are there many stadiums like that? And most likely clubs are more often to prefer a stadium with a track than without one. I don't know the percentage of such clubs.

I don't know the percentage either but counting it would be weird because some schools don't have a track program. Also, I don't think schools 'prefer' a track around the field. However, the land and/or budget the school has leads to it. Every school unfortunately can't be like Baird

You guys should try Sidney. In the bend of Jimmys creek with huge Pecan trees and some smaller oaks spotted all around it. Years ago there was no fence to keep fans away from the field. Sadly, it didn't keep cars and or pickups off of the field either. Had to put up a fence.

Newcastle was a neat place to play for sure. I'm From the city, so getting to go to any of these small towns is a treat. Im glad my school plays six-man to experience to some of these.

From a private school perspective, Covenant Classical in North Fort Worth is really nice. I know someone touched on The Pasture. Heck, even the park my school has played at is pretty neat. Sadly Callahan Field where Harvest Christian in Watauga (Keller Now) is getting torn down so. That was truly the best private school atmosphere.

See Westbrook was one of the stadiums I was thinking of. I went to Paint Rock earlier this year and they very much have a real track. In fact, picture of the Paint Rock stadium is the one I took. I need to go to Paint Creek before something happens with their football program again. I wish I didn't live in the Austin area and was around Abilene.

Dell City is natural grass with no true fence. Beautiful view of the Guadalupe Mountains in the background. One of the more unique places I’ve seen a game. Stadium in Sanderson is also on the bucket list, real West Texas feel. Rochelle is cool, short “bleachers” made of concrete on the side of a small hill (has a track). And Spur also has a track, but that design is too cool not to mention. Brookesmith no track and a cozy atmosphere.
