I would just like to clarify that my disability is not a mental one!!!! And that I work, full time, without leeching off of the government. Even though I could draw a healthy check for nothing, I choose not to because im not libtarded. Just sayin! Ah, crap, tarnishing my bad character reputation again. I'll stahp now.
I didnt know we had troops in the Serbian Conflict. I find nothing in the VA about that, I do take offense in the words leeching off the goverment, i draw VA benefits for service connected injuries, I have lived with these wounds and PTSD for over 40 years. The check I draw is repay me for the out of pocket money i used for over 40 years, I paid out of pocket for health ins. for many years, what I get now is NOT for NOTHING. If i am wrong I am sorry Hornkeeper.
PS I damn sure aint no libertard
I was not implying that one who draws a check from benefits for service connected injuries is leeching off of the government. I was obviously too short in my description because I was on my phone. I too draw a check for my service connected injuries. However, I AM able to work, so I do, if I were NOT able to work, I would gladly accept my compensation that I know I had earned. I was referring to those able bodied civilians who would rather draw a check because its available to them than to work. That is who I was calling leeches, not our great veterans who have actually earned the grossly small compensation that is recieved for the service, sacrifice, and the nightmares that go along with said service and sacrifice. Your service is greatly appreciated by me and I was not intending to disrespect you in any way.
OBK, you are exactly correct, it was a NATO operation. I believe the campaign was officially called the NATO Yugoslavia Liberation campaign. I was Navy, we were tasked with policing traffic that was coming in and out by sea. We would stop other sea vessels and board them, searching for contraband, mainly weapons.
