Highest scores of all time.

I saw that NM School for the Deaf beat San Jon, NM 103-97 on Friday. How does 200 points total match up all time?

I saw that other score as soon as I posted that question. It is still remarkable to see scores over 100, but with the new offenses and the imporved schemes, I would guess they will be more common. 200 plus points in any contest is still a feat.

Yes it is. I would say somewhere around 12th or so in highest scores, maybe top 10. I would have to put together a list to be sure. I may just do that, I get bored sitting around waiting to get called in to work when I'm on call, lol.

sixmanalum your probably thinking of the Georgia Tech gams in 1916 where they beat Cumberland 220-2.

In college football, games in which 100 points are scored by a single team are a rarity, especially since 1940; in lopsided games, several deterrents exist to prevent running up the score. Of current Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) teams, only Arizona, Bowling Green, Georgia Tech, Oklahoma and Tulsa have eclipsed 150 points in a game. Neglecting games in the early 1900's, the Houston Cougars are the only Division I FBS football team to score 100 points against another FBS team, against Tulsa in 1968. The Georgia Tech team is the only Division I team to record over 200 points in one game, which occurred in 1916 when Tech beat Cumberland 222-0.

The highest scoring half time score that I can find is 2006 when Richland Springs beat Eden 96-0. I have to explain to the guys here at work that it was a two quarter game... <ouch>

That record would be Bryan Brazos 102, New Braunfels Christian 0, 2001.

So in both cases you could say the winner 45'd em twice, in the same game. If your up by 45 at the end of the 1st should the game be called? Has anyone ever come back from being down 45 after a quarter?

Cool, where did you find that? I couldn't find it. That would be one that lonestarfootball.net is missing, among many others and would probably like to know your source, lol.
