Help needed please

We are looking for week 1 (Follett canceled after we drove to them, and felt it wasn't in their teams best interest to travel and play us) and Week 5 (Windthorst found a game vs Brock)

We only played 2 home games last season and are in need of home games again.

We will feed your team
Put you up for the night at the school
And split the cost of the gate if willing to come to Throckmorton.

Please call (325) 668-2731

Wow Coach. This kind of stuns me. I've read on here about RS weak schedule in recent years because no one want's to schedule a pounding in the early season. Then again I remember talk about you want to be the best you have to beat the best. If a good team wanted to test themselves......... They could at least see how they stack up. Even one of them "Church Skools" as Goob called them.
One beat ya'll last year. Or a Home School, Stephenville Faith's been pretty dominant the last couple of years.
It wouldn't be a home game (but a big day) but I'd think Hico would be interested. Your a big draw.

I thought Follett was going to be loaded again this year. With Dakota Woods and all. I guess nobody enjoys a good thrashing.

But I can also see the line of thinking about a previous AD scheduling games before the new HC takes over.

I seem to recall, back in 1996, a coach who knew that he was leaving and would not be around to see the blood-letting, (and was out

for a little revenge) scheduled four top ten teams in a row for a young team with a new HC to take on. Those teams went on to be

15-0 Gordon, 12-1 Milford, 11-2 Zephyr, and 9-2 Sidney. It sure slowed down that young team's rate of gaining confidence. Maybe it

made them tough, but it sure wasn't pretty.

But,
it showed character to play the schedule they had been given.
Same thing happened to us during my first year.
Previously (so-called experienced man of character) set us up.
The fallacy is:
football doesn't build character,
it reveals it.
Someone needs to step up for this challenge.
Shame on Follett for cancelling.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I encourage throck to find another 11man team to play them. And btw anybody know how many more years Throckmorton will have athletes?? In my opinion, this is a more dominant team then Richland. I watched both play, and throck was incredibly strong. Richland relied on speed.

"Not in your teams best interest to play"
If you are afraid of getting a butt whipping just say so. Thats what it sounds like to me; don't make an excuse

Ummm, one could argue that the handing of the derriere was part of the process that got em to the show last season, that not following the same path could be detrimental to the process this season. Maybe that's just me, but im just superstitious like that.

Call up Munday and see if they will play a half and half game at Throck. 1A 11-Man state cahmps v Six-Man State Champs...Munday turned in 106 last year and that is on the 104.9 bubble!

Or give Roscoe a call...they might be cocky enough about how great 11-man is that they will play a six-man game

Coach,
You should give blackwell a call!! I would love to see a showdown between my old home town and my new home town!! Go Greyhounds!!
