Yes, when people aren't picking on Doggy, WV, RS, or the Canadian. ;)

It's been a while since I've seen anybody kick the Dog. Where you been Doggy?
I've been working on my people skills.
In other words
keeping my mouth shut.
Or
as shut as possible.
Might surprise some of you to know
that these folks out here
don't think like me.
Can't imagine why.
jus sayin'.

Our friends from the north's health-care system works as well as it does only because they don't have the expense from an illegal-immigration problem or have the expense of maintaining a super-power military, they have us to cover their rears. With those issues, that system would go belly-up.

The American military does cover our rears and we do appreciate it. As for the immigration problem, I have no idea how much it costs the US. Your argument may well and truly be valid for Canada. I will not argue that.

How do other nations with universal health care like Finland, Sweden, Norway, Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, France, Germany, Singapore, Australia, Japan, Austria, Denmark, Taiwain, Spain, Argentina, Ireland, England, Brazil, New Zealand, Trinidad & Tobago, India, Hong Kong, China, Thailand, Greece, and Portugal... all manage?

Look at the tax rates...... That may explain a lot. All I'm saying is the only people it is free for are the ones who don't pay taxes.........

I don't want to trade what we have in the US for what any of those socialist and communist countries have. If they're happy, more power to them. But neither socialism nor communism is for me. I doubt that Greece or China have illegal immigration problems though. That's one advantage to being a sucky country, I guess. Nobody is trying to sneak in. LOL

Shane I feel the same way you do. I know freedom isn't free but Obama started this shut out by not paying our militay and vets. I know I may be wrong but with all I've read Obama won't quit until America is a Muslim Country worshipping Allah. The Christian I know would rather have their heads cut off than to give up our Holy Father. This Obamacare is the first step to becoming a communist country. We can't let him take away our rights. I don't want to be told where to work and how much money I'll be making. I don't want our second amendment being taken away from us. That would be a castastrophe. (sp). I don't like the fact Obama is part of the Muslim Brotherhood. Our world had change so much in my lifetime.

Topher my friend, I doubt seriously that any of those countries have a military or immigration problem. The ones that do have a big military are not exactly my idea of what I want my country to look like. No Thank You Sir, A commy I am not.

All of them except China and Brazil have much smaller populations, and believe me, you DO NOT want to depend upon the "free" medical care in either of those nations. And as Smokey said, for the others, just look at their tax rates. If we were not providing military cover for them and they had to maintain an army strong enough to make their borders as secure as we do, not even a 100% tax rate could do that and provide government run "free" medical care.

Just remember, in every case where I have looked at the budget of a bureaucracy in ANY government, the cost of running the bureaucracy takes at least 70% of the money budgeted. No insurance company can stay in business if they take more than 5% for overhead.

I was listening to a spill about the Obamacare. I heard that if the hospitals do as less as they can for the senior citizens the more Obama will pay them. The doctors are dropping medicare/medicad patients right and left. The employers have a choice. Either work their employees 30 hours a week or buy insurance for them. If they do that they won't have to pay insurance on their employees. There will be a 2000.00 fine for those who don't have insurance and if you don't pay that then they will take your drivers licence away. By that time I was sick at my stomach. Another thing is if a person has many illnesses they have the right not to treat you. Insurance policies are going to double or triple. That will break so many middle class people. There was more but I had to turn it off. God Bless America. Unemployment has changed as we speak. Jobs will be lost, savings will be depleted and the worse is yet to come. God Bless America.

A driver was stuck in a traffic jam on the highway outside Washington, DC. Nothing was moving. Suddenly, a man knocks on the window.

The driver rolls down the window and asks, "What's going on?"

"Terrorists have kidnapped the entire US Congress, and they're asking for a $100 million dollar ransom. Otherwise, they are going to douse them all in gasoline and set them on fire. We are going from car to car, collecting donations."

"How much is everyone giving, on an average?" the driver asks.

The man replies, "Roughly a gallon."

I'd give 5 gallons. Everyone should vote against anyone who is an incumbent! Also, we need term limits and if they vote for something that is good for the people, then they should have to live with it also. What's good for us common folks, should apply to them as well. Those idiots think they are above the law!!

Statism = ideas so good, they have to be enforced at gun-point.

Democracy = 2 wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for dinner.
