Dr. Pepper

My first car was a '64 four door Chevy Impala. Only had a 283 in it. I think my Dad thought that I wouldn't drive quite so fast in a family type car....it would run about 105 top in if there was a slight breeze behind it and a slight down grade. Anywhere that I went that wasn't on a dirt road the accelorator was on the floor. My second car was '65 Chevy Super Sport. It had a 327 in it. The front end was just loose enough to keep me from running more than 80 to 85, but it sounded so good getting to that speed!

My first car was a '57 Chevy Bel Air. It only had a 235 inline 6 with no A/C, but I thought I was
the king of the world. She was a beauty and is my dream car today.

Didn't feel like reading all 8 pages, but I saw in the Temple paper where they would be picking up the suger cane bottling for Dr Pepper.

4 door, 77 Chevy malibu

Nice!
I remember when an am was all you had and all you needed.
My how times have changed.
I used to make a trip from Midland to Houston (and back) every third week-end.
Ain't love grand.
Just about wore out that '57 Chevy.
The radio was my best friend.
I had a victrola in the back of the '48 panel wagon...........................

The Fairlaine, same body as a Torino, with a 302 2bbl would out run my friends 69 Torino with a 351 2bbl in it.
About the time the Camaro was paid off they started requiring liability insurance. I want to say $2-3 a month, maybe $5.
About a year later waiting to turn left in a center turn lane I was rear ended, they were doing about 30-40 mph & hit the brakes about 10' before they hit me. Shoved the front end of the Camaro up under the back end of the pickup in front of me also turning left. Totaled from both ends. I busted the windshield with my shoulder but walked away with only a bruised shin. The guy had no insurance. For my $30-60 of liablility payments they paid $3000 on a 4 year old $4200 car.
