The Ford or the Camaro
would be really cool to have now!

Guys, my first car was a 1965 Olds F85. Loved the car and drove it until some stinkin' drunk decided to slam into it when I had it parked on the street.

I remember the cops calling me at 2 am telling me there was "some damage to my gas tank." Yeah. The back end of the car was wrapped around it, inside out. And the stinkin' drunk was standing there, smoking a cigarette. Cop tells him to put it out and the drunk is ready to throw it TOWARD the car (spilling gas, which reminds me I had filled up the tank that afternoon) before the cop grabs the cig from him and throws it the other direction. Got $150 from the insurance company as they totalled the car (this was in 1976 or so).

Anway, back to the story. About 15 or 20 years later, I'm in the parking lot of North Star Mall in San Antonio ... here's an exact duplicate of that car, color, style, interior, all that. In fact, I think I saw it at least twice. I'm now kicking myself for not putting a business card on the window asking if they'd like to sell it.

My first car was a 64 Chevy Impala Blue in Color
Had a 327, 4 barrel holly carburetor,,It was sharp..
One rainey friday night, going to a high school football game
in Dallas,I was stopped at a stop sign,,"wham" i was plowed
into from behind, knocked me in the middle of the street
And i remember looking in my rear view mirror,a pick-up truck
just plowed into me,,hauled butt and left the scene,
Cops came, wrecker came and towed her away and i never saw
her again,,I remember my Dad so upset,no insurance,a total loss
Next car i got was a 74 Firebird that i drove off the showroom
floor,Gave a whooping $4,400.00 Brand New,I'm thinking it was the last year that you could put leaded gas in the tank..Oh the Girls loved that
Firebird..Ha ha

1948 Ford Panel truck with a flathead 6. Paid $100, rebuilt the carb and ran it 4 years. Sold it 10 years ago for 500. Girls parents weren't too crazy about it. Couldn't figure out why. I had a real nice cotton stuffed mattress in the back..........................
