Double wing offense

Well you could do that as a single play, but I was more asking about the the "ride-and-decide" action that is the basis of misdirection. More precisely, when does the 1 give to the 3 versus "whirlee birding" around to hand-off to the 2?

Doesn't look like he reads anybody since you have the front three blocked. Normally you would leave one end unblocked to be able to read him, like the back side end. That way you could watch him follow your back and if he followed, spin and give. That'd be a tough read, though. Also, the lead back would have to take at least two steps before going the other way to get the defense reading flow away.

Well technically if you do that, then you are only using a very tight spread. If you split the ends out farther and back the QB up then you have the spread, so if you use your play your not giving the SB enough of a field to find an opening and your making it easier for the defense to get him.
