Coaches with most Championships Appearances?

Richland Springs has been in the state final 10 times. Doyle Clawson was there the first time when that place started taking off. So seems like burkhart has 9 appearances. I bet that’s most.
Most impressive is debatable but Vance Jones at 8 because of the number of different communities he’s been in that have gone to the state game.

Guess you missed my post above yours that said my info was on D2 State Championships. I corrected my own post, but thanks for your effort.

Top 5 by Championships
Richland Springs 9
Borden County 5
Ft. Hancock 5
Strawn 5
Throckmorton 4
You do know there are 2 divisions, don't you? DI & DII if you comprehend Roman Numerals. I think most just call D1 & D2.

I'm done.

EDIT: OK, some State Championships were before Divisions split, so, I kinda wrrrrr, rrron, wrgggģ

Oh just leave me alone! Not speaking to you anymore. Ever.

Not to be argumentative but I believe it's 11. They also lost to Balmorhea in 2020.

I have a complete list of this...
I see several errors have already been corrected so

Danny Medina was an assistant on the 1986 Fort Hancock team for those wondering...Fred Carter was the head coach...though I think in fairness Fort people would say Danny deserves the credit but he technically wasnt the HC

Most Appearances (as HC...if you count being an assistant as well these numbers would change for a few):

10 - Jerry Burkhart - Richland Springs
8 - Vance Jones - 2 Marathon, 1 Sanderson, 2 Garden City, 3 Balmorhea
6 - Dewaine Lee - Strawn
5 - Danny Medina - Fort Hancock
5 - Mike Reed - Rule, Throckmorton
5 - Trey Richey - Borden County
5 - Nathan Hayes - Jayton, Crowell, Benjamin
4 - Roddy Maddox - Cherokee
4 - Mike Bigham - Motley County
4 - Craig Steele - May

That is true. RS has 11 appearances with 2 losses and 9 wins - total. However, the thread topic filtered that by coach. Unless I have missed some information, I believe that breaks down to: JB has 10 appearances and 8 wins. Rigdon has 1 appearance and 1 win.

JB has 9 wins as HC 2004, 2006, 2007, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2016 and 2019 one loss in 2020

I believe that Rigdon was HC and won in 2019? Am I mistaken?

Also, RS appeared and lost in 2001. My assumption was that JB was coach then as well?

Please correct any errors you see here. I filled in some from memory ... which is not so good these days. lol

RS appearances:

2001, Loss, JB
2004, Win, JB
2006, Win, JB
2007, Win, JB
2010, Win, JB
2011, Win, JB
2012, Win, JB
2015, Win, JB
2016, Win, JB
2019, Win, Rigdon
2020, Loss, JB

He wasn't the HC in 2001 and the UIL website shows him as the HC in 2019. HC in 2001 was Doyle Clawson.

Question was "COACHES WITH MOST STATE TITLE APPEARENCES" not how many state titles per school! 🤦🏾‍♂️
