Bloomburg

Yes sir. I just heard that Bloomburg told the UIL that they would not have football for the 2014 season.

I did not say cancelled their program.

I received an email from Bloomburg's AD. They will not play in 2014 because not enough players signed up. They are unsure if they will attempt to play in 2015.
They have considered ending their football program for now, starting a youth league, and restart football when the youth reach JH.

Wins are good, don't get me wrong, but winning only generates so much interest. To me, it is the intensity of the game, the work ethic of getting through two a days, the comradarie generated by teamwork, going out on Friday nights and proving to yourself, your coach, and your community how much heart you have, and mainly loving the game of football. I know there has to be 25 to 40 boys in high school there. Sounds like it may be a parent thing, or sometimes there are just a group of wussies coming through who just wont play a contact sport.

Maybe they will win the UIL spelling contest.

Holloway,
let's take a laxative and repeat after me (and not the blue pills either because you may be deboning more than ducks)........ it's not safe to drink turtle milk after the turtle has been out of the pond for over a month....

ANYWAYS......

I asked for Mrs. Casewell (and boy was she beautiful)...
They said, TurduckEn.... is a dish consisting of a deboned chicken, stuffed into a deboned duck, which is in turn stuffed into a deboned turkey...
So I pondered for a few moments and thought...... Darn, that's ALOT of deboning and suffing...... (keeping this PG-13)
Then I went on to pronounce my spelling.....
actually I spelled it TurduckIn.....with an I..........AND I WAS ELIMINATED......

Correct spelling is turduckEn....with an E

WD.............problem was you were focusing more on Mrs. Casewell than you were on winning the spelling bee. It's all about priorities.

Hate to hear that they are suspending their program. I was so happy to hear they finally got a couple of wins this last season. Hopefully they will be able to pull it back together for next season.

It may just have been a matter of chemistry.
They were a big roundball school.
BB coaches get weird when football gets discussed,
but the support needs to come from there anyway.
Their location prolly didn't help any either.

Start-ups are jus hard.

Set themselves up to fail. Sad. Should have hired Jack.

Dogface, you have no idea how close you are....

It would be like starting a soccer program and naming me the Head coach.

It was offered to a couple that didn't take it. It wasn't offered to Fields or Graves.
I know this for a fact because Bloomburg's AD contacted me for information about everyone they considered and he kept me updated on who was/wasn't considered.
