6 Man Football Fields

Just curious. Where are some of the nicer 6 man football fields located within the state of Texas?

Buckholts has a nice field

Bryan Allen Academy has turf.. Zephyr is a nice field

Zephyr and Trent are two of the turf fields

Robert Lee, Hermeliegh, & Westbrook also have nice stadiums.

Blackwell, Borden County, Jayton, Guthrie, Sterling City, Garden City all have excellent fields.

Saint Jo is not turf it is real grass but it is a nice facility all around.

I'm a little biased, but we, at High Island, have a pretty nice field and athletic complex.

There are satellite pics aren't there? It may depend on your idea of what nice means. 50 yrs ago it was anywhere that still had live grass in Nov.

I think you have to break this down into at least 3 categories... Turf Field Stadiums, Grass Field (with track), and Classic Six-Man Style (where you can still back your pick-up truck along the sidelines and/or sit within 5 feet of the field). I tend to think the classic fields are the best as they provide a unique experience, one that puts the spectator as close to the action as possible. In my area places like Sidney and Walnut Springs caputre that classic feel very well.

Look for the wind farms. That's where you find the nicest fields...

Zephyr's turf is not in very good shape. Probably won't see it changed out until after this season at least.
