I see you Mike. Pushing May on up the rankings chart. You can stop at 5. We are ok no need to go any further. Just be sure to keep Westbrook ahead of us. You gotta keep Fencelineguy happy.
ETHS was rated much higher earlier in the season (300+ at the time of the Aquilla game). This is likely what caused the large jump that week.Been wondering something for almost 2 weeks and was going to let it play out. But since this thread was started here we go.
Ok Mike, Granger used to catch heck occasionally about rankings. Seems the forum has been too easy on you. Lol I can’t quite figure out the Aquilla Cougars rapid rise in the rankings/ratings

Specifically it was the updated week 2 rise in rank/rating after beating #112 ranked ETHS in game 2 that has me perplexed. Aquilla beat a #114 Covington the week before by 28 with little change. At the time Aquilla jumped into top 10 I just could not figure out how that happened. Glad this thread opened. Thanks Tigerfan85
Yes…..fat fingerThat game 3 should be 60-14. Regarding your question, one might wonder if Cowboy Parks may have recently become a heavy contributor to this site. Been wondering too if he's sporting an orange Mohawk again with the high ranking.
Ok I found something probably contributing to this. The East Texas Homeschool Chargers are highly ranked considering they are 0-3. They started out 13th preseason, week 1 ranked 15, week 2 #44, week 3 #59, and week 4 currently #112. Aquilla is the benefaactor of a highly over-ranked preseason ETHS.
Funny how the fan polls jumped on board and put Aquilla in their top 10 after they hit the sixman football top 10.
Can't help but notice the lack of value assigned to playing a competitive schedule yet losing all four games. Klondike is the Division 2 poster child playing all the big boys to date (4 top ten teams) and losing while the RS plays the bottom dwellers and running up the score and inching up in the rankings. What happened to the idea of nothing ventured nothing gained? I understand that the playoffs will rectify in time some of the differences in rankings but there isn't enough value assigned to playing a competitive schedule, win, lose or draw. The Toy doesn't quite make the cut on that issue. I noticed that there was not much movement in ranking number for either team from the start of the season but football is about competition and the Toy somehow doesn't make a distinction for avoidance behavior.
There you go again TexLanghorn, making your dumb accusations about the schedules and taking your cheap shots at Richland Springs. I would bet that back in the day when you played, if you did even play, which is doubtful, that you were one of those guys who would hit just a little bit late or a little bit out of bounds or try to gouge an eye if you got a chance. Can't help but notice the lack of value assigned to playing a competitive schedule yet losing all four games. Nothing cheaper than your cheap shots Johnny. I believe you have the scheduling routine backwards, your coaches are tackling shy. There you go again TexLanghorn, making your dumb accusations about the schedules and taking your cheap shots at Richland Springs. If a team refuses to play you can’t force them to. You either play who you can get or you only play district games. When the playoffs begin then you can worry about your ranking numbers.
FWIW, Covington has a very tough out of district schedule.
Klondike has to be up there with one of the toughest schedules. This makes me think it would be neat to see who had the toughest district schedule. May be another page worth working out when I have the time. Should be able to build that one pretty easily, I think.
