All I can say is you will absolutely NOT have the turnout of fans at Houston that you would at Abilene, Sweetwater, San Angelo, or even ATT. You will make the trip if you are connected to a school playing there or a rabid fan as most of you here are but all of the other fans of the game or folks from the majority of six-man schools (that would be there if you didn't have to get a motel room) will simply not be able to/or want to go that far.... especially to see a team get 45'ed as we saw in both games this past year.
What I meant by the majority of schools that play six-man are in the northwest portion of the state was if you divided the state in 4 quadrants with somewhere around Lampasas as the center, the majority of public school teams fall in the NW quadrant. Abilene is and will probably forever be the ideal central location for the games.
