#2 Water Valley vs #3 Robert Lee

I would remind you that the WV only beat RL by 12 last year and that same spreadback is still there for the Steers. I've forgotten his name, but he's really good and RL would love nothing better than to return the favor at Diddle Young Field. Just sayin', it might not so easy but I'm confident the WV comes out on top.

Brenner Sherwood. So far, he has 1240 yds rushing and 33 TDs on 79 rushes. And, on defense, he has 10 interceptions (2 pick 6s) and 52 tackles. I haven't been able to get all the stats, but I know RL's defense has at least 13 interceptions with 4 pick 6s and at least 5 fumble recoveries with 2 returned for TDs.

My calendar has been marked a while for this one! Gonna be a good game. Both defenses appear to be pretty solid. However, I give WV the edge. Ive seen both teams play. WV has lots of firepower, where RL has one or two playmakers. Good luck to both teams! I can't wait til Friday night!

WV's offense has looked great because they haven't really been tested. I'm sure they look like world beaters against the Panther Creek's and Rochelle's out there but they haven't played a team yet that will be a contender. RL hasn't had much trouble scoring either and they have beaten at least one dangerous team.

RL's 60-14 win over Ira looks pretty impressive considering Ira's only other loss was 36-16 to Jayton, and Ira just beat Westbrook pretty handy too. RL also had a strong 36pt win over a good Sands team but did give up 46 points.

WV's best win is a 68-20 score over Rankin, who's other loss on the season was by 30 to BC. Rankin has not looked very strong as the season has progressed having "close" games with GC and BV. WV is likely ranked a spot higher than RL due to Rankin being a overrated when they played. Rankin's ratings were bolstered in week one because Happy came in WAAAAY overrated when they beat them 50-0.

Games aren't won on paper but it would be easy to give RL a slight edge just because of they have at least been tested with the solid win over Ira and they will have home field advantage and will be looking for revenge.

WV also handled WB easy in their scrimmage. Also, RL gave up 46 pts to Sands. Hermleigh handled Sands easily and WV 45’d a Hermleigh by half. Also the Jayton Ira game didn’t finish bexause of the weather lol. But nice try…

Might as well have put this in "flashing neon lights"!

Averaging 61 points a game, assuming 8 TD's average/game, 12 on PATs
Sherwood accounts for 33 of the total 64 TD's (this is an average) or approximately 1/2 the Steers offensive scoring.
Also Run heavy it seems. Wonder if he has more TD's on pass completions, increasing his offensive
contribution even more? What other stats you have sir?

43 of 56 passing for 835 yds, 11 TDs. They've actually scored 68 TDs. In several games, the backups have played quite a bit, including the backup spreadback and the backup kicker.
Others of note, RB/DB Josh Garcez has 2 TD rushing, 4 TDs receiving, and 2 pick 6s.
LB Edward Samaniego had 64 tackles through 7 games. I haven't seen his stats for this past Friday.
Offensively, 9 different players have scored TDs and 4 different players have scored TDs defensively. There may have been more that weren't published.

Also, rankin lost a starter in the WV game so that hurt them when they played GC and Bv

Sands is a really really really good team, very well coached, and loads of talent.

Anyone that thinks this game won’t be competitive is crazy. Should be a wonderful game.
