Whitharral - 60
Valley - 40
Final

The score is misleading. It wasn't that close. Should have been 30 points at least. The Lady Pats could not make a shot. Whit wanted it more.

Hope they do well in Austin.

rain -how can you sit down in front of your computer and say Whit wanted it more? Are you saying Valley didnt want the win at all? you could have said Whit had a better game plan, had better ball movement, stronger defense or any number of things. but to question the hearts of valley's players was so wrong. any time that statement "wanted it more" is spoken, it is a slap in the face. first thing , you owe valley a big I'M SORRY for being so disrespectiful. those girls work their butts off all summer playing ball and then school ball and then get to the regional finals. its funny, im not from Valley but i'm from Whitharral, i've got a daughter thats starts for Whitharral, and i took exeception to what your saying we wanted it more. that was a hard faught ball game.
to the young ladies from Valley ,congrats on a great season. may you have continued success, you deserve a better fan than rainjacktx

Yeah - well - thanks for the advice. I'll consider the source, and probably ignore all of it. Especially given the fact that my daughter is on the team, and she pretty much said the exact same thing that I did.

Ignorance must be a pretty comfortable place for you. Have fun with that.

What are the pairings going to be for Austin?

I do't know Moulton's record, but I'm going to say it will be Neches vs. Whit, and Lipan vs. Moulton in the semi's.

Three really, really good teams for sure, and one I know nothing about.

Here's to Moulton's Cinderella season.

According to the following story Moulton is 36-10 this season (that's a lot of games).

Neither Moulton nor Leakey were in the final TABC state top 25 but Leakey was an honorable mention.
TABC did pretty well with the final top six. They had Saltillo, Neches, Lipan, Rochelle, Valley, Whitharral as one thru six. That's not far wrong. Saltillo/Neches and Valley/Whitharral played each other with Neches and Whitharral winning. Lipan advanced and Moulton took out Rochelle (30-0) by 1 point in the region semis. So we have no 2, 3, 6 and unranked going to Austin. Obviously Moulton was underrated, but I believe Whitharral may have been also. You may have the matchups right, but I'm guessing Neches vs. Moulton and Lipan vs. Whitharral.

I knew they seeded according to records. 36-10 is almost unbelievable. I don't know that I've ever seen a high school team playing 46 games in a season.

Regardless, In spite of pulling for the Cinderella team, it looks like it will be a Neches - Lipan final.

Neches is certainly the fav to win it all

As far as their opponent in the final...having seen both I will give the edge to Whit

That's more reasonable than 36-10. If Whit can indeed win out at Austin, that set's them up for a repeat next year, given that they reportedly have only one senior on the team. If Whit's No. 5 is only a junior, they will be unstoppable next year.

Whitharral's only losses have come from then #1 in 1a Smyer, then #2 in 2a Krum, then#3 in 1a Sudan (twice) and #1 in 3a Abilene Wylie.

Congrat's to the Strawn girls and their coaches. Four freshman starters and only 8 points away from the state tourney/final four. They played outstanding defense Saturday. They never gave up getting down by 12 in the 3rd then cutting it to 5 in the 4th. I'm not a huge BB fan but Lipan probably played the most agressive D I've ever seen.
