Two Gordon Players in the Military Appreciation Bowl

Gordon's Stryker Reed and Ry Reed (no relation) will both be participating in the Military Appreciation Bowl this December at The Star in Frisco, TX. I'm not sure a six-man player has ever had the opportunity to participate in this before, and there's certainly never been two young men from the same team go! This is an amazing opportunity for both of these young men, and is incredible for the six-man community as a whole!

TAPPS and UIL Alignments Entered

Just a quick update to let everyone know that the TAPPS and UIL alignments for the 2024 season have been updated here on the site.

So, all district games should be correctly marked. If they're not, please let me know so I can try to get those corrected.

The TAIAO alignments will be released in September so those district/non-district updates could be all out of whack until then. Please note that it's not important that the TAIAO games show a correct district/non-district value until after the alignment. Once I update the alignment on this site those values will automatically update at that time.

I also wanted to say a quick thank you to those of you who have already added your schedules to the site and to those of you who plan to add them as soon as they're ready.

Scheduler Ready for 2024 Schedules!

Ok, so a little earlier than I anticipated, we are now ready to accept schedules for the 2024 football season! Coaches, you should have an "Add games" link under the "Coaches" tab in the navigation to take you directly to your team's scheduler. If you're a coach and you don't see the "Coaches" navigation tab, please contact me so I can associate your account with your team.

If you're not a coach and want to submit a schedule for a team, simply go to that team's schedule and click the "Add games" button.

Scheduler Almost Ready!

It's almost time to start adding schedules in for next year! This week, following the re-alignment release on Thursday, I'll get all the teams placed in their correct districts. Once that's finished I'll start working on archiving last season and getting the scheduler set up to accept schedules.

I have made a few changes to the way schedules will be added, and there will be more info on that later. I've also made a few changes to team pages. Again, more info on that at a later date.

The important thing is that the scheduler is almost ready, which means we're one step closer, albeit not a very big step, to next football season!

That's a Wrap!

That's it! The 2023 football season is officially in the books! I'll now take a month, or so, off to work on other projects then mid to late January we'll archive this season, and start to get things ready for next year, starting with opening up the scheduler for 2024. This is also when I'll begin work on all next year's new features and changes. If you have suggestions, it's not too late to get those incldued!

The final rankings are out, too, with the Gordon Longhorns sitting at the top of the overall rankings to end out the season.

I'd like to once again thank all the coaches, fans and players for your help with schedules and scores this year. Thank you to those of you who made suggestions that led to making the site better this year and next. Seriously, this site wouldn't be here if it weren't for all of you!

Finally, I'd like to say congratulations to all of the 2023 Six-Man State Champions!

It's Almost Over...

Once again we're at this kinda bittersweet moment in the year where we've made it through another season but we're not ready for football to end! At least I know that's how I feel.

As always, though, I'll be getting right to work (starting next week most likely) coding up some new things for next year and making changes where they need to be made from things we saw this year. As a reminder, if you have a suggestion, please post it in the Future Changes / Suggestions Welcome thread. That's what I turn to when decided what to do after all my feature plans are implemented.

Also, as always, thank you to all the coaches, fans and players for your help with schedules and scores this year. I can't say it enough. This site would be impossible without all of your help!

TAPPS State Championships In The Books!

Last week we crowned all the TAPPS Six-Man State Champions! Congratulations to the Houston Emery-Weiner Jaguars (DI), Conroe Covenant Christian Cougars (DII), and the Prosper Prestonwood North Lions (DIII)!

We'll get a bye week from football this week, then into the UIL Six-Man State Championships on Wednesday, December 13 at AT&T Stadium. We'll have the DI and DII games at 11:00am and 2:00pm, respectively.

The week 16 rankings, and the week 17 spreads are both ready to go!

I've also got the playoff pick 'em and the weekly fan polls ready to go for the week!
