Windows 8?

Does anybody else feel that Old Bill has decided to abandon business users? Why would you market a new OS and give people the option to "downgrade" to the previous version?
I know, I'm old and set in my ways but come on...........

The first time I sat down in front of Win8 I felt like a Witch Doctor at the Mayo Clinic................................................

Both of you are old (kind of like AS400s), haha. Microsoft did this when Win 7 came out as well.

You answered most of the question yourself with "I’m set in my ways". A lot of people hate change:). In the end it will be up to the user/business to venture forth.

I chalk the rest up to interoperability and compatibility.

Believe it or not, there are still many AS400 out there that people will not give up. haha

Have you looked at the OS. I really don't mind switching around on systems. Right now I have XP vista win 7 os10& few Linux versions running. Win 8 is just puzzling to me. I fail to see its purpose other than attempt to wean us off keyboards & mouses.

Very little The bits and pieces I have seen look very similar to the windows os on some of the smart phones that are out with ATT and other carriers.
