Wimberley Six Man Info

I saw a post on the Lone Star Football Network on the Wimberley page that the school once had a six-man football team back in late 1930s to early 1940s, does anyone have any information about those teams or what websites the information was found on?

That information came from the Newpaper archive. I used to have a subscription and dive in regularly

A number of years ago, I was in Wimberley and came across an article that said they had a 6 man team (40s-50s?). They went by another mascot name (the 11-man HS team is the Texans), If I can find the info, I'll try to post it.

I never found out the mascot's name in the Archive, even though I did find quite a few scores for them from1938-1941.

From what I've learned, the first two years Wimberley was known as the 'Hillbillies' before changing their name to the 'Wildcats' for the 1940 and 1941 seasons
